Ok. I'll chime in. I have a stock alternator, and 4k rms right now. I have 4 group 31's in the back with little voltage drop. On 7k. You should be fine with a single HO alt and 4 group 31s. IMO

I've hears that the ddz1 is meant for only burping purposes and won't be useful in a daily setup at all.

I remember when i was thinking about going active with an 8" midbass.. Was suggested to go with a peerless SLS8 and fountek fr89 fullrangers.

The speed nut should be so that it slides overtop of the metal with one side infront, and one side behind. All speed nuts iv ran into are a clockwise thread

With that kind of budget, I personally would work in a good 4 or 2 channel amp and just worry about getting a pair of fronts, deffinatly 6.5" not 6x9 and wouldn't worry about getting any in the rear deck. It's hard to tell you what speakers to get. Go out to a bunch of local shops, listen to as many speakers as possible and pick the ones you think sound beat

Well it is.. But that will give you a general idea.. And also, no need to turn your gain up because you can think it can take more.. 75% gain is typically very high and unless you know what to listen for you can end up severely clipping your sub and end up wrecking it.

Nope. Not high, it should be good to go.

Sean iv got a buddy who has a c-pillar wall very similar to that. 16 10's though and the port opening is on more of an angle but it does very well..

That huge ass skull in the middle is probably great for sound quality coming from the mid.

Such a huge enclosure in a trunk.. Especially for only two 12s! Looks sick though

Not too sure about that.. Probably would hear a difference with a 5500.

Hey guys, I originally made a topic where I landed on the idea of running an 8" midbass paired along with a 3" fullrange. After giving it a bunch of thought, because of the harsh drop off of the full rangers at higher frequencies (if not directly on axis with the listener.) I don't think that this would be the best option for me. I would prefer if both me and my passenger would be able to have the best listening experience. Would this be best achieved by just a simple 6.5" and tweeter combination, or are there different options that might work best?
Just looking for some advice, -Mike
