So.. I work at a small car audio shop in my city, often my boss leaves me alone to run the shop myself.. I feel pretty useless sitting at the computer waiting for people to come in,

Alright so here it goes. As soon as I unpackaged them I saw the quality of these subs. Good solid construction, spiders, tinsel leads, everything seemed perfect. Currently, I am using two 15" Icons and tuned them really low at 27hz and wow, musical reproduction is amazing. Obviously, great output at the lower end and plays kick drums flawlessly. My girlfriend listens to some hardcore music, and these subwoofers easily sound the best and pick up on every note that should be played and dig down low on those bass drops. Overall, phenomenal subwoofers with both sound quality and output in mind. Id recommend these subs for anyone, the absolute best subwoofers iv owned for the money, and easily the best bang for their buck.

Im sure Ill love the output even at 8 ohms then.

Might seem like a stupid question but do those Peerless SLS8's only come in 8 ohm? Will my PG Ti500.4 have enough output at 8 ohms to properly power those woofers?

Not the easiest thing to do, make sure you make all of your cuts first. Once you actually start to assemble inside the trunk, I used L brackets in order to screw the peices together which seemed to work fairly well.

Jealous Sean?

I'm doing a proper build log sometime soon. I always end up making one, not taking any pictures and basically forgetting about my whole build log thread. Going to be making a new one, first go over all the subwoofer content, new box, aeroport, vinyl wrapped amp racks ect. Time to show off my worksman ship.

My HU does have processing, it has 13 band Eq's both left and right, but I really think the minidsp will allow me to have much great customization of cross over points, ect. They are pretty cheap anyway so I don't really think I can go wrong.

Wasn't ever aiming to be really loud. Obviously, I'm expecting the midbass to pack a good punch, but I don't need screaming highs that you can hear from across the parking lot. Haha

Its settled then.. Peerless SLS8 midbass, Fountek FR89 EX3 wideband and a minidsp for the processing. Lets give this impala some SQ upfront.
Cant thank Sean or Impious enough, both extremely knowledgeable.

Nevermind that.. Which Sean should I be looking for?

Im for sure expecting it to have a nice impact when the subs are turned down. I still don't expect much to keep up with the bass at full tilt.

Not really sure if output would be an issue... Guess Impious would have to chime in for that answer.

Peerless it is then.. Now, lets see how good my skills are. http://www.madisoundspeakerstore.com/approx-3-fullrange/fountek-fr89ex-3-full-range-4-ohm/ How is that for a full range?

Some of the sexiest amps iv ever seen made. Amazing

Totally understood Alton. But I like really impressive people, and doing things that most people dont have in their setups. To be honest I really want to try out an 8", a 10" would be pushing it a little much I think, so Id like to try the 8"

Alright so lets choose a midwoofer first.. How do I really go about doing this? Obviously there are some brands that are better than others but Im just not sure where to start.

Sick scores man, especially down in those low notes

Alright, well at the moment going 3 way is out of the question, too much money to be spending on a new amp, ect. Now if I am correct on-axis means the speaker needs to be directed to the listener, correct?
That's settled then! Yes on-axis means pointed directly at the listener.
Get the OD of the WB drivers you're looking at, cut out paper circles with the same diameters, and make sure you can actually fit it in the a-pillar section. Checking for depth wouldn't be a bad idea either.
Well Im making a-pillar pods for the speakers, so I really dont think it will be an issue.
