  1. ///M5 you have a wonderful car

im confused though what username did you used to be? or were u M5 all along and I had really been gone that long?

Thanks, I love it as well. I have wanted an E34 M5 since the day they came out in 89 and finally could afford one. Good confusion though....only found the site in Sept, so you haven't been gone that long. Never had another name...on diyma I am B&K but other than that pretty much M5 all over.

    Here is the history:

Bought the car of my dreams

    Needed a stereo

    Started to do research

Found a few audio forums (never belonged to any forum before)

    Decided on a stereo

Picked a username on the forums that I found thinking I would get some quick advice and get out. Really felt original and used "///M5" as I figured M5 would be taken.

    Installed said stereo

Now re-addicted to car audio (had a few "large" systems including my first in 1989)

And of course, like it here at SSA

Nice to meet you Sean... My other car is an E34 ;)

I love E34 M5's, but I ended up getting my car from a friend and got a good deal... He put the wheels on it and about a month later I bought it, so that was good :D

Have you done anything to your car? I now frequent bimmerforums.com and am spending some money on my car..

  2. you'll still be happy with 1 12 in a 1.6cu ft box with a good amount of power.

I don't think I can sell it now. I've fallen in love. It does everything I ask it to. I can play it quiet with nice sq. I'm just waiting for someone at a stoplight to role next to me blasting their sub then I'm going to let mine lose. It's like the sub adapts to every kind of music. Like it knows how to play rap and how to tighten up for kick drums in rock. I've turned it up loud enough to where my ears hurt afterwards, but I don't think I've maxed the sub out yet. Before I do this though I want to make sure my gains are set good. But really there's no need to play it any louder. I need to find a place with an oscilliscope or whatever it called.

Hearing damage... a feeling I know all to well...

  3. So is my knukonceptz wire and rcas I have bought in the past crap lol

Na Nick, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, mine just happens to differ from you on this. I have A/B'd different speaker wire/ rcas in home and in car... and although I wouldn't buy the cheapest crap I could find.. Knukonceptz or Stinger Dream Line or whatever its called is as extravagant as I venture there now.

I have used PG and Dayton in my home.. PG is just what I had left over one time.... and IXOS has been tried... and others.. But for home purposes I usually go with Dayton interconnects... cheap but now that cheap.

  4. Who the hell in that industry offers a no questions asked warranty anyway?

This thread makes me almost regret selling the mag for a second...but them I remember that I have to pay for college.... and reality always sucks :)
