I think that may be my only route, but Id like some opinions on what way to approach it.

5" of height isn't going to cut it. The mounting depth of the sa-8 is 5.25" and 8.25" basket diameter
Its not going to fire up thats not the issue. Here is a pic of about what its going to look like. *not final measurements*

He cant make a box to house two sa-8s under the seat on a 07+ crew. not enough space without raising the seat
What about a Double cab tundra? I have seen a box for 2 JL 8W7's ported made for a tundra, but I have never and will never run anything JL.

i also have a issue with building a box to go under the rear seat of a tundra. I have a mere 5" of height 18"w and aprox 20" deep to work with. I have been racking my brain on how to make it work. I do have room to wedge the end to gain the height to mount the sub but the port is another story. Maybe it just wont work im not sure but if JL can get a ported enclosure for a 8W7 im sure something can be made for the SA-8

Eclipse SW9122 ported enclosure
in SPL & SQ / Fabrication
Posted
I just picked up a NIB sw9122 and all that was in the box was 1 page of the owners manual and the mounting hardware. So I need to know what works good for a ported enclosure? How many cubes, freq., and port area? It will be running off a Audio Art 100hc, so in the neighborhood of 1000W.
I am thinking somewhere 2-2.25^3 ported to 32hz but not sure on port area, seems this sub will move a lot of air.
