    fi btl n2 12 help

Sounds like your amplifier is clipping, the more this happens, it could end up blowing your subwoofer if the amp keeps going into protect. Recheck to if you wired it correctly. You may just want to purchase a new amplfiier. I had one of those Soundstream 2000d and never had a problem, but i did have to solder the power wire into place since the terminal cracked previously to buying it.

Nice price, but there is a wait. Look into the Fi Q subwoofer, hand built to your custom order. ficaraudio.com http://www.audioque.com/AQ1200D-Amplifier_p_30.html

Fi BL 15 Enclosure for Chevy S10 Ext. Cab

Most of the people I have seen on youtube with BL or BTL in a s10/sonoma, have their subwoofer firing up, and the port also firing up, with the port on the drivers side, sub on the opposite side. 32hz is a good tuning too.

    BTL

I have a BTL N2 18" in 8 cubes (7.5 after displacement) tuned at 32hz. Hits hard and low! I have the amp turned down to 2000 watts, my amp will do 3000 watts and a little more since I have good voltage. The sub is laughing at the power im giving it, even though its at RMS, still sounds great never the less. Try tuning to 32 or 33hz!

    fi btl 12

(Ported obviously) Enclosure tuned at 32hz be great, you will love your BTL, it will shake the crap out your car. Buy some sound deadener to deaden your trunk. I hear this stuff is great, the price is right too. It wasn't out of stock the other day but now is since it was onsale.25 sq. feet for $59.84 shipped, should be in stock in 2 weeks. http://audiotechnix.com/

    Fi Subwoofer

Very true, I bet Gopala would, but hey, taht would be giving Fi more business since he would have to buy a new re-cone! Or less business when this dumbass blows the N2 and goes around telling everyone that Fi sucks because "my N2 blew with no fault of my own". "People told me that the N2 wouldn't blow" Does Fi Audio even ship out of the U.S.? This guy is supposedly from Malaysia.

    12 btl or 18 bl

Buy the 1 12" BTL, then later add another 12" and buy another Hifonics amp and strap them together!

    BTL Came In Yesterday!

AQ2200D Irun an Audiopipe ap30001d @ 1 ohm (Turned up 2/3 @ 2000 watts) . The 18" BTL N2 slams, My buddy has 2 15" L7s with a custom built box. funny thing is, my box and his were built by the same shop! He has 4000watts and 2 15s. My 18" that is tuned at 32 hz. kills his!

  22. I was going to order the 3000D months ago but I think it had been discontinued. I am really interested in how these amplifiers will perform!

    Mached Assembly of the box

The final product had a red or orange plexiglass window in it right? Looks like you built that enclosure very well!

    Mileage

I cannot say anything about the fords, but my family and I have driven GMs forever. If maintained correctly they can go to 250k. If the Chevy was a work truck and towed a lot, then it might end up needing a new transmission down the road. I currently drive an '02 GMC Yukon Denali XL (127,000 well maintained miles), I have had nothing wrong with it ever, except a head light blowing out =D. I would not buy any ex-work truck or any vehicle that looked like it hauled/towed a lot with 100,000 miles, just because the transmission most likely would go later on. (Friend's '05-06 yukon 2500 with 160,000 miles towed mostly all highway miles, tranny went died, nice new one costs them $5000-6000 last year). Had a '98 suburban SLT 1500, Mostly highway miles, rebuilt transmission @ 112,000 or 115,000 miles, then at 125,000 miles August 2010, had to replace waterpump, radiator, and rebuilt the A/C system. Everything but the transmission was expected.

    BL 15. Box Question

What kind of vehicle is this going into? Stick to Fi's enclosure specs, 12-16 inches of port area per Cubic Foot. So, an enclosure that is 3-3.5 cubes after displacement of the subwoofer and port should work fine. I am tuned to 32hz (18" BTL) and it sounds pretty good, port facing rear and subwoofer firing up 9to the roof in a yukon xl.
