    Totally agreed.

So true, im 18 in school and have the same woofer in my yukon. Hope it slams just as hard as mine!

    two towers, four IB3 18's, 128 cubes, 12" ports, 14Hz tunes, f

Wow looks great, how big is the the T.V.? (*for size reference) The enclosure makes it look tiny

    Fi users input please

8 gauge to sub (raptor wiring) and then 0 gauge ground and for amplifier, and all 0 gauge under the hood! 2000-3000 rms to 1 18" BTL N2 @ 14.4 volts tested!
  6. It would help a great bit, I got away with running a mini sealed 12V battery to help power a Soundstream 2000 watt amp, and a 4-channel amp. I think my stock alternator was 105 amps, kinda small. But my lights did not dim due to using the extra battery. (now i have a Ohio High Amp Alternator)

    Fi Subwoofer

how about Q ??? Buy both, try them in different applications in your vehicle. That is the only way I can say it. My BTL sounds amazing in a GMC Yukon XL, but I cannot tell you how it will sound in whatever you drive.

    Fi Subwoofer

Choose the BTL N2, with cooling option, HiXm coil. After playing mine for a week, it made me appreciate the art of hand built subwoofers, since it could hit super low, but at times really show some sound quality. The N3 is not for music, strictly for SPL!

    Ohio Generator?

I have an Ohio Gen. Alternator, thing is a beast, easy to install, never have had a problem with it,defiantly worth it!

    BTL N2 - 15" or 18"?

Try to get a 15" BTL,enlosure designed to 5-5.5 cubic feet tuned @32hz, im tuned at 32 hz (18" N2 BTL,7.5 cubic feet after displacement in a yukon xl) It hits the lows well and still sounds good with reggae, and alternative rock music.

    BTL BREAK IN

Interesting topic for sure since I have only been playing mine for 6 days, thanks for sharing everybody above, I just need to what for clipping I have only found one song that clips (some Waka Flocka song-he sucks anyways)

    BTL BREAK IN

I am breaking in my N2 BTL 18, on about 1700-2000 watts maybe a bit less for about a month or less, Usually it takes 15 hours to break it in. MY gains on the amp are turned down, after a month im going to turn the gains up, Im not going to play 3K into it daily, although it can handle that.
  13. This BTL 18 is so loud,I could not be any happier.

    High Ouput Alts

$285 does sound a little good to be true, I use Ohio Generator, they are a bit pricey, I know Mechman has 3 alts. 250-270 amp all under $500, in my opinion that is not a bad deal.

    fi audio n2 18"

I don't want to hi-jack your thread, but i am bout to have a box built for a N2 BTL 18", 8 cubic foot box in a yukon. Are you going to have your sub fire up, and the port face rear? And is 33 hz really the best tune? Any input would be appreciated!! Good luck with the 18"!

    18" Fi BTL N3 or N2 for daily @35hz?

Since we have practically the same car, i have the '02 yukon denali xl (1 18" N2 btl and its going to be in a 8 cube box), whats the best way for the port and sub to face in this vehicle. I want to have the sub firing up, and port firing to the rear. Or have both firing up. And did you end up staying witht he 35 hz tune?

    BTL N312

I am waiting on my 18" N2 to arrive, I will let you know how it works out.I have high expectations, since Fi has such a great reputation. I wasn't really impressed with Kicker since my friends 2 15" L7s ($599.99 each!) in a custom built (by a proffessional) ported box in a suburban powered by a Powerbass 4000, produced just as much bass as my old 2 12" JBL p1222s ($250 each) (I used a Soundstream pcx2000d, and pushed 400 watts into each) in a premade ported box in a yukon. I didn't think my subs would be as loud as a system with 3000 watts lol, my buddy even commented "yours are just as loud, but cleaner".

    BTL N312

The Fi BTL N3 is made for strictly SPL, no daily music. Look at the BTL Fi.N2 (2000 watts rms), i had a link up but it didn't work for some odd reason.

Looks good! How do you like that box, I have a 02 yukon xl, and Im not sure if I want to do sub up port back, or sub up and port up, or Do it like yours is and have it all fire to the rear.
  25. reelfish92

What size subs should i use?

Like Shogen said, the box will most likely crackle and start falling apart from those woofers, build a new box with 1" mdf, double layered baffle, and internal bracing.
