Yeah buddy. I paid a lil bit more than that for mine. lol. But i love it. Its awesome. Imma be tweekin that bitch for a month before i'm done with it. Then I'll get my new door speakers, and i'll be tweekin again. lol.

I would Highly recommend this HU. Other than the EQ is a lil intimidating because its all new to me. Has a 5 band EQ. Doesnt say like. "high, mid, bass" says "band1-5" So confused. lol. Still workin out all the kinks and stuff. I has a full on set up for position of speakers from the HU. Shit like that. Its pretty amazing. the colors are fully adjustable. Via like 30 diff preset colors. You can make it all one color. Or have it like mine diff color for the buttons than the display. Its pretty awesome. And thanks Brownm3. It hasnt been movin too much lately. But hopfully i'll be wrappin it up before too long. With a new Recone, some testing and tweeking. Then finish up my voltmeter. And i think i might be done. Think* lol.

Updaaateeesss!!!!!! Finally got this bad boy in today. Kenwood KDC X995. And now for morre pics of the install process and such. Just a lil info. I did solder and shrink wrap my harness again. I feel its nicer that way. This HU comes with build in Blue Tooth. So i mounted the mic for it right next to the driver sun visor. I have yet to try it out. So idk how well it actually works there. We'll see eventually. lol. And now for the pics. And Voila. And lastly. A pic of it all light up at night. Had to wait a while before i could take this one. and It was after i figured out a few things. Like how to change my colors. This HU definitely made a huuuge difference in how everything sounds and plays in my truck. And is all around more responsive and easier to work with for me than my old one. If I had 3 bills to drop on stuff right now I would. But since I don't have the money for an amp. I'm probably gonna buy just a set of comps. Then wait a while to amp them.

Okay guys. I'm lookin into gettin a nice set of components for my front stage. I've heard that the IA comps dont get very loud unless amped. I dont want to get an amp for it. I'm lookin into crescendo. If anyone has any other suggestions let me know. It'll be going into my Ranger for the build. thanks guys

With the price on the IA's right now that has been my first choice. But i'm still deciding about my front stage whether i want to amp it or not. lol.

You do have a good point. Lol. But I'd also be dreading the pain in my dick its gonna be to put that amp in the truck and wire it.

So update real quick. I ordered my New Kenwood KDC X995. It should be here tomorrow sometime. then i'll get that guy in there and tuned sometime soon. Hopefully It'll be better than my Clarion. And the Clarion is for sale now. lol. Also. I'm lookin into upgrading my Front stage finally. I've been debating between 3 different sets of components for a while now. The Incriminator Audio components, Crescendo comps, or a set of image dynamics. I've heard good things bout Crescendo off HU only. which is why I'm strongly considering them. I haven't heard anything bout Image Dynamics at all. and the IA i haven't heard much except they don't reach potential until they're amplified. Which i don't wanna do an amp right now. So this is why i'm having trouble deciding. Opinions are greatly appreciated. Stay tuned!! I'll have pics and updates of the new HU tomorrow night.

M5 i wish making decisions was as easy as you make it sound... Id like to amp. But if i amp. then i have to spend the money on an amp. money i dont have. And if I go no amp. then i'll get speakers optimized for no amp. and later i'll probably have to get new for the amp. Ughhh. decisions. I'll probably be ordering speakers on saturday. Even though i still havent made a decision yet.

I'm looking for a good set of speakers. that will take amp well. If, and when, i decide to amp my speakers. I dont just want "whatever". I'm still deciding. We'll see what i order this friday. lol.

I've considered co-axials. But I wanna get comps in case i change my mind later and grow the balls to put in a speaker amp. But i'd like them to be decent loud on just the HU til then.

I've just read that the Incriminator speakers don't do so great off HU only. And I've heard that the Crescendo speakers do great with out an amp. And i just dont wanna deal with installing a speaker amp in my truck. pain in my ass i dont wanna deal with right now. lol.

So not much of an update. But i figured I'd let you guys know that i ordered my new re-cone this morning. And tomorrow i'm going to order a new HU. Lookin for a nice Kenwood KDC - X995. As i've been in love with it since the first time i saw one. Just wantin to keep you guys up on whats goin on. And i have to figure out my Relay situation so i can wire up my voltmeter finally. lol.
