  1. I'm currently using two 18in btln2 on an xs8k in a 05 Hyundai Tucson enclosure was design by ram. I demo often with my four doors open and it sound great but there's a problem with loading when my doors are open I loose the deep sounding bass that I love. I'm either going with a ported wall down the center or a 4th order band pass. I'm worried that with the port being so close to the door that I'll have the same problem with loading that's why in considering band pass. New sub will either be the team fi or dc lvl6. So my question is what sub and orientation would best suite me app? If any....lol!

  2. I had 3 12"s that did not net half the output of 2 12"s with 3/4 of the power...All in the build.. Cabin gain can be your best friend in a install and cancelation can be you worst enemy.

great point but how do you find your cabin gain point and other than flex what causes cancelation?

  3. Looking good man. Why did you decide to go with a 4th band pass box I was always under the impression that it wasn't ideal for SUV? Your build is looking right on point for your goal good luck.

    Hi bro !

I feel like it's the best way to run so much subs, when you can't find room to fit all of them in front of the windshield.

I'd like to have a week in SXM soon. I'll let you know, Alain !

  4. Every application is different, in my case I have an 03 impreza with 18in wheel. I had a 3in gap in the wheel well. I installed h&r lowering kit with 2in drop In the rear and about 500lbs in the rear it gave me three in lower. Theres about 2 cm between tire and wheel well but bucause of the spring rate it never tonches! Even with 3 passengers I'm safe.

  5. If you can't tune from the drivers seat it is a bit pointless. Has been since 2005 or so.

location is not the problem I have it up front it that I'd like to have more band to adjust the sound. I take it that your not a fan of the kq30.

No, what he's saying is that with the digital processors that are available that can be adjusted from the seat you'll be listening to it in at real time then what would be the point in buying something so archaic.  If you can't listen to the adjustments you make in real time it's much harder to hear AND know exactly what that adjustment did for you.  Given the prices those are going for a DSP just makes that much more sense and with most of the DSP's on the market you have 30 or more bands of EQ for each individual channel and so much more that it can do.

I have a four way system what dsp would you suggest for less than 200$?
