oh and im not sure but if i do get the z or ID and run about 1000watts to it, do you think i would need to get another batt. right now i got a sax 125.2 running my CXS62 V.2 - Image Dynamics 6.5" 2 ohm Components. and a Saz 1000d running my alpine 12" dual 4 ohm wired to 2 ohm so its seeing about 600 watts. i would get the dual 2 ohm Z and wire it to 1ohm so it would see about 1000watts. my car did fine with my previous setup, so i would be adding bout 400 watts. and then i will upgrade my sub amp later on down the line. i really like my sundown so id prob get the 1200d or 1500d for my next sub amp

ya Argent Audio from here built it. 2.0 cubes @ 33 Hz 16 deep 15.75 tall 27 wide and i thought it wasnt the most ideal thing to do to reuse a box. and im not set on ID,sundown,ssa. im still trying to figure it out. and budget isnt a problem

ya storm just passed through here in STL. but bout an hour ago i heard the loudest thunder i think i have ever heard in my life. it really sounded like a bomb right out in my driveway

(my front comps) so i assumed they had a pretty good sub, but just never really heard anything about it. and also would going a lil lower than 2.5, prob round 2.2 ish give or take still be good? i have a 2011 toyota camry and the trunk is pretty big but id like to have at least some space left. my 2.0 box for my alpine was nice, cause i still had some space for luggage. i would prob just get it to be as wide as possible and did you have the chrome series or the regular one?

ya very true. my 12" type R was my first aftermarket sub. i felt it sounded pretty good for what it was. it really complimented by ID 6.5 components up front. so i guess im kinda new to "REALLY" knowing what sounds good. im kinda going by input of what others feel about the subs. front components were ran on a sax 125.2, and sub was ran on a saz 1000d

good looks on the info guys. ya i love bass but not a nut of it where im looking for just loudness. rather be clean loud bass than just plain loud. So ur saying the Z is more geared towards comp, so would prob not be ideal for daily driver? or could do both but better for comp. and ya im thinking of a SSA 12 also now. which one of the SSA subs would be best for a good mix of SQ but can also get loud

Main goal is sound quality, but still be able to get loud. Nice clean bass. Prob Go ported. Really anything for an upgrade from my type r. And how would you describe all 3 since you said they are not in the same league as each other. I dont know much about any of em My 12" R was in a 2.0 tuned to 33 hz. It sounded pretty good

^damn, yea that would be all bad. my front runner right now was a sundown 12" z v.3. i think it could do the job much better then my alpine 12". i was really intrigued by the I.D. but the id max was as bout as much as the Sundown Z, and i prob would feel better about the Z.

ya mainly its between I.D., sundown, and SSA for a new sub. i was leaning towards the sundown or ssa but the I.D. really caught my attention recently

ya true. i like it to be more geared towards SQ but can get loud also. the alpine type R i had isnt the best but Argent Audio built my box and really made it shine for what it was. i listen to all types of music, but the most is rap/hip-hop and club dance type music. i wish argent was still making boxes

good looking on the info and even though its rated at 1500 rms, is it ok if its underpowered?im only giving it the 1000w the SAZ-1000d gives out at 1 ohm. thats what im going to be using til i upgrade my amp

will it be kinda like the sax 125.2? cause i pucking love mine thats powering my front comps, to go along with my sax 1200d for my sub

Ya id go with a comp set. Esp if later on down the line you wanna amp the front conpnents up and get a new headunit. I got some image dynamics 6.5 running off a sundown125.2 with a kenwood headunit. Shit is nice and gets loud as fuck while still staying super clear

almost anything is better than stock. id say depending oh how much u want to spend and what you are trying to get, just start with a new headunit and some new front speakers (6x9 im assuming, i dont know whats stock in the vw) it will be much better than stock and depending if you just want better, than you could just go with the more known names kenwood, alpine, boss, jbl, jvc, rockford fosgate etc.

if you were willing to spend more, i would say image dynamics cxs62 v. 2 6.5 components. i have them in my car up front powered by a sundown sax 125.2. shit is soooo clear and loud when i play music. they are amazing

hey yall i got a Kenwood Kdc-Bt945u and im trying to find a replacement part for it. on the face plate where it says kenwood that knob came off and i cant find it. so now it is just hollow there. it still turns and everything but when i have to push it in to select something its kinda of tough to get my finger in there to push it. so im wondering where i could find just the knob or would i have to get a whole new face plate. heres a pic of it. the inner knob where it says kenwood is gone.

Woke up to go to work today and mycd player in my car isnt working. It just says reading and wont play. It was working perfectly fine last night but then wake up in the morning and it wont play it just says reading. Its a kenwood headunit
