thats awesome for you man. -
yes... thats what im talking about

LLP is a barrier so using it like that doesnt do much as far as blocking out noise. but what applying it like shown can do is lower the res freq of the panel (in which doenst matter what side is attached) or act as a decopler as tatts was saying in which it prevents the plastic from touching the metal of the door (while its not a big difference i would say just like the pic foam out would be best)

whoot whoot for LLP discount -
if the main problem is roof flex and rattles up there your main product to use is damp pro or spl tiles. lux liner on the roof is going to be a bad idea. that stuff is too heavy to be putting up there

lol yup. firewall is oddly enough one of the few products i dont have in my car. Im very tempted to order a gall but i just havent had time to even breathe lately and im betting its going to stay that way all summer. not sure if the videos are helping at all but they are definatly fun to watch and pretty informative too... "skum-pucker this is for u" LOL that shit is funny
-
hell ya
-
if not then just use normal overkill its still going to be better then nothing
-
on the fiberglass i would say use overkill pro instead of the normal overkill BUT the normal overkill would work too so either or is fine, the pro would just help standing waves better and with 8 sets of mids so i think its worth the extra charge
-
make sure to use lux pro since the new lux liner is just the mlv no coupling layer otherwise it sounds good to me..... maybe OK pro instead of ok on the fiberglass but either way
-
when u soldered the leads did u jsut solder as long as they were?

Xover not working on new amp
emperorjj1 replied to mrbojang's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
double check phase on both the subs and the input for the rcas.... unplug one of the rcas and see what the volume difference is. if the volume goes down by ~half then its correct if it goes up by double then its out of phase. do the same with the subwoofers unplug one of the 2 ect -

:ohnoes9: right by pricing and above install instructions "Luxury Liner is a highly effective barrier and absorber composite mat consisting of a flexible vinyl barrier and acoustical grade open cell foam. Apply Luxury Liner on top of vibration dampers to reflect the sound waves that penetrate vibration dampers and noise filter it in to the cars cabin." -
4 Channel Amp, Input Channel Question
emperorjj1 replied to BanginGMC's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
set it to 3/4. It looks like the 3 adjustments only effect channels 3/4 so if it was on 1/2 it would be in 2 channel mode. 3/4 4 channel mode. and 1+3/2+4 is some crazy bullshit mono summing for 2 preout decks without subcontrol -

Well... The old Luxury Liner was the 1 lb MLV laminated to the open celled foam. This stuff is 1.25 lbs psf so it is 20% heavier for slightly better results, but you have to add alalye rof OVerkill or Overkill Pro to go along with it so more work is required. Either way, it is good stuff! Very affordable too ANT aww i see i thought it would work solo. ya i dont have room under my carpet for much of anything.... not that i need to be adding anything to my car -

nice. how would you compare to regular LL? not like i need it but that might actually fit under my carpet -
Cut the hole for the speaker. i wanted it as small as possible so it barely cleared the magnet.... i ended up having to make a slot for the wires thou I didn't get any pictures of the speaker ring but it had a roundover instead of being flat and had a kurff cut so it would bend with the dash. Nothing major just a slight bend BUT it made a huge difference in the end result. These pics are in mid sanding thou, the ring was fiberglassed to the dash popped off and i snapped some pics after the first stage of sanding After looking at it on the dash half way ready i realized the orange wasn't going to work... So i painted the speaker while the final sanding and stuff was being done Soldered and heat shrunk the wires to the ES-03 All done I also added sound dampening to the dash pieces while i had them out. The original plan was to add LLP wherever i could get it but that turned out to be no where so damp and damp pro gonna do the brute of the work again. i forgot to take some pics of the piece on the very front of the dash but rest assured it got the second skin treatment On the dash from the factory was a cotton piece to keep the dash from rattling on the ac vents. I put 2 layers of rattle pad in its spot to do the same. the rattle pad is much more dense and an overall better product so it should do well

??? am i supposed to? yes the center will be on its own amp as soon as i can get to it. I didn't choose amps with small footprints at all (3 a600, 1 a200, 1mc423, 1 T40001bd)
