  1. Ok gotcha.....Thanks for the feedback. I will take a hard look at my goals for the next setup and keep you guys posted on what I come up with. I agree with you as far as it sounding good and being able to reproduce sound. My mids and high stage sounds really nice right now I was just brainstorming about the low end...

  2. ^^^^.....lol....Yeah I have a friend that has one and it don't play anything below 33hz.....The upper notes are pretty strong but with 4 15's on a 7k he cant do anything more than a 148.3 on the meter.

  3. Hey thanks 95Honda....I will model both and see what's best. I just want to try a new setup outside of throwing boxes in my hatch like I have done forever. I do really well in SS 3/4 in comps but like the idea of rebuilding since this is my main hobby now....Again thanks

  4. Yes I mean bandpass....I have 2 options right now. I can either run the 4 Sundown custom Nightshade V3 15's in a bandpass enclosure or I can do a bandpass from the B pillar with the 6 Sp4's I have. I really would like to run the SP4's since its more cone area and I wouldn't have to buy 2 more Sundown subs. I my SUV I cant do more than 4 subs in a flat wall.

  5. Guys I am looking to build my first 4th order enclosure. I have always ran my subs in ported boxes but since I have 6 SP4's now I want to maximize them. Any of you guys out there running the SP4 15's in a 4th order and if so what type of numbers did you use as far as sealed/ported, cubes net and port area? I have max dimensions of 46W x 60D x 32H....Its in a Infiniti QX56 SUV on 2 Crossfire XS-8k's for power. I am doing mid 50's right now using 4 of the SP4's but the mid 50's I am doing are between 27hz and 33hz.

  6. Well yeah I do too....That's why I am running all those Beymas in my doors. They are loud as hell. I am in the middle of a tuning nightmare as well because I am running that Rockford 3sixty.3 off my factory head unit but only like playing music via blutooth or aux because the factory Bose head unit sounds like poop to me.

  7. Yeah I want it to go to another level because when I go to some shows there are guys there with huge systems giving demos all day. I like giving demos and not big on numbers meter wise. Just street ground pound. That's why I like FI and like hooking up with others that like bass race and ground pound. Before this install I was running Sundown X 12's tuned at 29hz. It played low....lol

  8. I think all is missing the point here. So lets try again. I already have a huge sound setup in my suv. I am looking at adding a 4th SP4 15 to my setup and was wondering with the space I have could I add it and about what port area would I need. I asked because this is a FI forum and could get the answer from the FI guys themselves or anywhere but asked here because I was assuming that guys run big systems and maybe someone could give me an idea on how to make mine better. I am not a noob and it takes respect to get respect so when my intelligence is questioned you get my response. Like I said if they didn't know or don't want to answer then don't but don't attempt to insult or make someone seem stupid. I am not an expert and I truly don't believe anyone here is that's why we share info with each to learn more. But I will take my question elsewhere as it seems to be a basic problem.

  9. Guys I want to add a 4th SP4 to my current setup and was wondering if I have enough space in the cargo area of my SUV to do it. I have the following demensions...46W x 44D x 25H.....And how much port area to get them really going with about 16k of power?

  10. I am trying to figure out my SP4 15's when it comes to how many different wiring options i have. My subs are dual 2 ohm subs and right now i am wired to 1.4 ohms at the amp. Seems i cant wire any lower without the amp going into protect. Was just curious about nominal vs. reactive when it relates to my setup.

  11.

I just thinks that's weird to keep having the same issue. I have 3 SP4 15's on a Crossfire XS-8K and beat the piss out of them even though they are new and the dust caps barely get warm. Mind you I have a 3sixty.3 processor and all gains are set via a DD1. I am running hella power to them and they handle it.

It took a full year for mine to fully give up on twice rms. That being said, my piss is bigger than yours?

lol. It just happens to different people at different times man.

lol didn't mean to sound like an ass, but I know exactly what you mean.

Lee swift ran his 3 sp4 on 12k, and never had an issue. Then, another iak member in indy beat the living piss out of his 4 18s on 4 m3a's for hours, and no issue. So, idk what to say haha, just shit happens i guess

No I know you didn't mean anything...Yeah I see people all over when I go to shows beating the crap out of them but I guess all great companies can have fails from time to time. I just hate it when people say all items made by that company is crap....I am on my 3 set of subs from FI...I had BL 12's and Q 12's before.....Keep moving up to the big boy stuff....lol
