How about changing the current names fromSI Magnum D2 12-->SI 357
SI Magnum D2 15-->SI 44
Both Magnums and one is a little bigger than the other :boink:
I like that idea.. sounds cool.

Also depends on whether you'd be porting one or the other, or going sealed.. whats your preference?

I think it's like $150. Of course you'd have to pay to ship it back.. so tack on another $30 or so.

The car audio world needs more people like Nick, and his associates. I really hope that your business continues to get better. I absolutely love my mag 15, and I've only sent it 200W for no more than 15 minutes.. it's the greatest thing I've seen since sliced bread.. lol. I don't really know any of you, or much about you, except from what I've read.. and I read 10 times more than I post.. but you fellas are good peoples, and I wish you all the best of luck.

Also, my estimated delivery dates could vary, depending on the shipping method your box was shipped.

If in fact it was shipped Tuesday(6th) or Wednesday(7th) of last week, I would have to say it'll be there tomorrow, well.. today rather(it being 2am and all). If not today, then definitely Monday. If you mean Tuesday(13th) or Wednesday(14th) of this week.. I'd have to say it'll get there by Wednesday(21st) or Thursday(22nd) of next week, at the latest. Sorry for all the parenthesis, I was just trying to keep things from getting confusing. And good luck on the install once you get your box.

If I bought a Kicker amp on ebay, brand new, never used, and with the serial number.. is my warranty only through the seller, or would I be able to get the amp repaired by kicker, if in fact it malfunctioned?

the d2 does great with the JBL. Theres nothing wrong with JBL, it puts out tons of power. in a couple days im gona grab a viper 1200d to replace the jbl. the profile works perfect for my components. simple, cheap, and reliable.Nice install man.. let us know how your viper 1200d performs on the mag once you get it.. I'm considering one myself.

In that case, just go with exactly what Nick recommends on the SI website. 2.0cubes @ 29hz. IMO the magnum would probably work great in your SE box with 1.8cubes with the slightly higher tuning.

anyone know the displacement of a 15 D2?Direct quote from Nick from another thread. 'The Mag15 might displace .3 cubes at the most.'

I have my PG Tantrum 1200.1 on my 15 D2 and I am not getting much movement out of my sub at levels of 20 and lower on my Alpine HU. once I push it past the 20 mark it starts moving, it moves an insane amount at 25. Anyone have any ideas why? maybe my elec system not giving the amp enough power? I do need a yellow top bad, and possibly a new alt. I have the PG 1200.1 which is 1507 watts by the BS and a PPI PC2150 which is 300 watts.Just out of curiosity, what model alpine head unit do you have? -Marcus

Aww man.. that really, really sucks. Hope you get the problem figured out and fixed soon.. although I have plenty of time to wait, because I don't even have an amp, or the money for one. I'm sure it'll be worth the wait though.

What type of saw do you use when cutting a sheet of mdf? Also what type of blade do you have on your saw? Would a carbide tip blade on a skillsaw work? I'll be using a skillsaw to cut my sheet of mdf into a couple of smaller pieces, so that I can fit it into my work area where my table saw is, which also has a carbide tip blade on it.. does this sound ok to you? Thanks, -Marcus

Flatwind Option on the BL
in General Fi
Posted
While reading 'BL Enclosure Recommendations' I stumbled upon the word 'peaking'. Full paragraph below. Please someone, elaborate on this term..
Flatwind: The flatwire coil option simply helps the power handling of the sub. The coil has more surface area to dissipate heat and will take more power then the regular round wire coil that comes in the
