  1. Why in the world are you sending 300 watts to something that only recommends 100 watts? That is probably why they are distorting.

    How sealed are your doors?

Johnecohn2001 is right you are asking about midbass, despite what your previous subs did, anything over 65hz your subs should not be the key to.

  2. Depends on what you mean by disappointed, 1175 watts is just fine if not way overboard if you are actually looking for a SQ system, I push 600 watts to a sealed Q10 and it is plenty loud for me. There is no need to go to a bigger amp, but the sub could handle more, but you would have to have BP option, gains set right, clean power,etc...but again there is no need unless you just want it louder and if you want louder well there are other FI subs for that.

As far as sound quality goes, as long as it is in a correct enclosure it keeps up with even the most technical bass and it stays fairly flat along the frequency's.

Overall, I would tell you, you are fine with your amp, might consider the BP option just to be safe and it might still be free too, build the right sized box and you will be more than happy with the results.

  3. sorry to say but I have the same concern, Sometimes I get a response other times I dont.. I placed an order last week; give my card details and to date still havnt received a payment confirmation or a shipping number, me being on the other side of the world just feel a tad worried.

.....and if this is normal maybe they can hire a sexy office runner, this will increase customer satisfaction.

    just my 0.02 cents

Did you make the order from the website?

Since you are outside North America, you can't go through the website. From another thread just searching...

Yes we can accept international credit cards as long as the name and address on the card are the same as shipping. We can not accept them through the site directly, but will have to process it separately. I believe I saw an email from you this morning and I will check and reply to it with the info on how to contact us or go about ordering.

    Thanks,

    Scott

  4. Yeah they did, new address:

    743 Cochran St.

    Suite D

    Simi Valley, CA 93065

and because of the move they are 2 weeks behind schedule if you need anything repaired.

  5. Forget Chickens setup!!!!!!!!!! I want 2 daily setup BTL 18's with Dual 1's I want the same options as Chickens were I guess. I bought my sub through Meade and I dont know what options it had except it was daily and has 2 magnets. Meade doesn't respond, Fi doesn't respond so its being a real pain in the ass to buy these but I want them. I want Scotts say on the options to give them so I can order them.

The options for the subs are all posted in the technical section they are pretty explanatory, then all you have to go to Fi's website and order it. With all the subs Fi builds I doubt they know of who got what options on which order to specifically help you out based on how it sounded and what options the sub might have had.

  6. Ya Me too! I wanted it BEFORE Thanks giving...but now I am just hoping that it is found.

I have a feeling it is stolen. It never made it to my store...I questioned all my employees that were here that day, and both stores that are next door to me. No one came forward.

What did you exactly question them on? Did you ask if you ever saw a package car that day? It could just be the driver that stole it or inside company, but if any of the neighboring businesses saw a package car that day, you could at least figure it might of been delivered. Only reason I ask is because a driver isn't going to give you the box say here sign it and then have someone stare at the box to get the last name and sign it. For me at least they have me sign the DIAD first, so it seems to me like whoever signed for it at least knew your last name.

My guess on part of the tracer is the DIAD is also equipped with gps so they can download the drivers route and see if he actually stopped by place of business.

  7. With a setup like that you need some custom work done on the engine. ever thought of getting an electrical fan and maybe a PCM tune. Did it to my 4.8L Sierra, and I'm pulling about 310hp on that engine. A 5.3 will get you about 10-15 more hp than mine. For half of what you paid for the alt's, you can get another 20-30hp no joke. I'm not talking no hand held tuner crap, I'm talking 30hp at the wheels depending on how you want it tuned.

Anyway... Looks great!!!! 916 representing.....I live in 707 VACA. See you around.

im definitly interested in a few items to help horsepower......i mean it dont feel any different with 4 alts then it did with 2 but i could always use extra power. Electric fan is definitly in the question......watsup with this tune you speak of, i have the crap hypertech but i want the real deal. Can i use both? I AT LEAST need the hypertech to adjust the 26's to my speedo.....thats probably the best thing about it :D

Instead of a plug in tune like a hypertech which does minimal tunning, you get a modded PCM that replaces the factory PCM. You just tell the tuners what you are looking to get out of it and they can adjust pretty much anything.

    some web sites;

    Wheatley

    Wait4me

    Nelson Performance

  8. Might want to repost this in the General Fi section instead of here in technical, the mods seem to read and answer more in that section. or you could always try to e-mail Scott again and see if he responds.

  9. I am using a Dual 1 Ohm Fi Q that I want to wire up to a 2 Ohm load so I can have 1200 watts available, bridging two minilith.

So I would wire in series.

    amp + to sub +

    amp - to sub -

    sub + to sub -

However I am looking at the manual and it shows the two amps bridged and the picture show the negative terminals are to only connect to each other with the positives terminals going to the amp.

    amp + to sub

amp - to slave amp - (interconnect ground)

    slave amp + to sub

So how am I supposed to wire this? Am I to assume that since it is bridged, that the slave amp + is now the - and hook it up that way?

    Thanks for the help!

  10. What the other folks are telling you is you can't compare the efficiency of the woofers unless you give how much power you are going to give the line-up of woofers. Straight up the SSD cannot handle 2000 watts it would more than likely blow, the BTL however would probably be fine, so in that test the BTL would be the more efficient. But if you drop the power to 500 watts well then the BTL and the SSD would both work, but the SSD would be more efficient. Unless you give a power rating at which all four could then be compared, you are just comparing apples to oranges.

  11. This may seem like a really dumb question but can these amps be mounted sideways without heat buildup issues?

With the Draconia sold out, as well as other brands of amps slowly fading out of my mind, I am leaning on a 2x Minilith, Gladius BB, Duece BB combination that would just about take all the space on the back wall of my regular cab Silverado, forcing me to take the middle jump seat out and put my 10" Fi Q there. Or build some amp rack where they would be semi stacked (not one on top of the other, but close) or maybe some slanted shelf on to one side and sub box on the other. Either way they would be mounted sideways.
