The cost of living is just too high to justify the move for that salary for me. Granted I'm also not keen on making a total switch from the southeast and warm to the northwest and cold unless the money is right. J

Got an interesting call from a dispensary near Spokane Washington the other day. They found my resume on indeed. They are expanding their locations and are looking for a project manger to oversee the expansion. Permanent position. The topic of compensation came up quickly, and I was told 45k with full benefits. With the cost of living there, and taxes, far too low. I asked if there was any wiggle room, and asked about 60k. I was literally laughed at and told 'I don't even make that much." With zero desire (on their end) to discuss remote management, that offer ended. J

Jesus man.....that's brutal as hell. J

It could be much worse. Makes ya feel any better I recently drove an H1 again....I remembered half why I loved that truck and why I hate it. J

I read over the feedback earlier today. I've been doing stuff around the house all day. I'll make the suggestions given, and send it back for a follow up in the next day or so. I appreciate the kind words, and you being super critical on this. I'm trying to ensure I am offered my worth, and the best way to get there is by putting my best foot forward. J

Not that cold here, but I did turn on the heat. Dog was shivering at 64* ion the apt. this morning. Wind chills will be in the 20's tonight. J

So far I've landed two Gov't call backs for work. One paid horrifically and would have required moving to Orlando. The other is in Atlanta, and they seem interested but nothing certain yet. The pay would be decent though. J

That's the thing man; it's not a separation. She lives in NY and has all her life. Same with our daughter. I was in the Middle East when she was born, and was stationed in AZ after that. I moved to FL after leaving the service, as the writing on the wall for NY as a whole, and especially there made it crystal clear that there was no hope for a good future for either of us. I'm fighting to get her more than just the bare basics and being down here would provide that. J

No argument there. However when your kid is manipulating people it's becoming evident than mom is driving a lot of this, and not doing things properly to be a role model or guide in life. I have a list to get through. - Career - House (apt is not big enough for a kiddo to have her own space easily) - Custody She needs a change, and last nights evidence of manipulation coming when she gets home is not good. J

Also, lawyers are fucking pricey as hell for custody. Especially out of state move. J

I believe the 3.5L but as I didn't notice any badging besides the eco*boost badge, and the paperwork fails to tell me....I can't say for certain. It is damn smooth. Like to the point where I ALMOST would consider a swap.....but nope. J

This 2020 F150 for the trip home has been pretty fun. Solid interior and the EcoBoost isn't that bad. Not going to lie, it's leaving me impressed. Not enough to leave my Tundra though. J

It damn sure could. However as many things have moved to online sales and support (ie what we discussed with camera stores) the attitudes there only matter to those who need it. The MacBook was only purchased there for the Govt. discount. I tried doing the same on my second purchase and suddenly there were issues with the program in store. We had to order online, and it wouldn't be 'processed' in the last hr it was open. Oddly enough BestBuy matched it with no problem at all. J

You are not the first person I have heard this from. Sadly the same goes for Nikon in many aspects of their lenses. Being in your level of business, I can see why you would eliminate them from your use. Personally, their AppleCare has been great to me when their store was complete and utter shit. I would rather pull tape worms out of a 55 gallon bucket filled with a salty lemon juice brine filled with concertina wire using only my left pinky and upper lip than deal with the people operating the 'genius bar'. J

It's been an adventure. A lot of shit on the horizon now. A lot of things now proving they need to change too. J
