Hey Sean, here's my 9 year old with one he reeled in this past summer.

Bothers the shit out of me that I still cannot stand the feel for fish whatsoever. Then again I don't eat em either.

Lost 3 family friends to Covid.  Last one today.  :(

I've been fortunate that my family members and close friends who have gotten this have been able to recover. However where I work we have not been so fortunate.

My condolences to you and the families. This has been a brutal thing.

  3. Looks like it's finally time to replace the factory HU. After 9 years the screen is starting to malfunction, and the CD player quit working. REALLY trying to avoid going all out and doing amps and components and all the other jazz.......Sadly I know me and by June it will probable be fully decked out.

If I slide off the road it's because I'm being a dumb ass and I should be relegated to call for a tow for beings such a dumb ass.

I guess I blame it on growing up in WNY. Where it can go from a 3" estimate to 2' in a matter of 6 hours. With how remote my parents lived, if you had to go over the back hills or something, 4wd was a must have. Especially with how the roads would go from 'fine' to 'deep as fuck' in a matter of 100 yards. I've slid more than my fair share of vehicles off a road driving along at a reasonable and prudent speed simply just because the grade in the road or the treatments of the road shifted more than expected.

    I don't go off-roading, so what would I need 4WD for?

You never know when you're going to slide off road and need it to help get out. I'd rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

I don't know.  The new Aviator is gorgeous.  I want one.  Finally realized what people want.  Navigator is starting to show up around here as well.  Used to be all BMW and Land Rovers, now Aviator and XC90's are popping up.

Love the XC90 platform. Drives great and surprising acceleration for the size and engine.

Yup, it's Gavin.  He is on a skeet and trap club for the past two years.  That's how I got interested in the sporting clays.

My step dad helps run the local school team's meets back home. Wish I had gotten into it when I was younger, and not many places to skeet shoot here.

Ordered a nice Weatherby today.  Gonna try my hand at sporting clays.

It's a lot of fun, and if Gavin (I hope I'm remembering your son's name correctly) is mature enough for it, this is a great bonding activity.

    Anyone have a Purple Mattress?

I don't regularly sleep on one, but I've taken two women home who owned them. Comfortable for bedtime activities and a single night. Beyond that, no clue.

The guy at Transition measured his own medium frame and it wouldnt fit.  Guy at Evil responded appropriately.  Santa Cruz said they didn't have that model and electrifying it wasn't a good idea.  The rest said fuck off pretty much.  Wish I would have found an Evil in my size but I have long had a hard on for a 5010.  Danny likes his.  Said he didn't even break one filimiing this

That is nuts. Much better than anything I know how to do. You are right, the audio is slick too.

Hey, I didn't blow it up.  It was all of it's own accord.  It was problematic from day 1.  I only purchased it because it was cheap and had a 2 year warranty.  Didn't think I'd be returning it so soon though.    I'm not really sure I can bring myself to spend over $600 on a HU either.

Time to CL or Pawn Shop hunt?

Are any of you guys up today on RVs? The wife and I rented one last weekend and really enjoyed it. I've been searching around for deals and my go-to is to look at gently used once but there doesn't seem to be much of a market or they aren't really discounted all that much. Wanted to see if any of you guys had some insight.

    How old are you looking?

Calling dealerships with a cash offer right now can help if you are able to. My Grandfather and his brothers all owned them, and I know a few people who have them down here. You can also look into a tour bus and retro-fit it if you wanted. Pricier but better long term use.

Of course if I get one of these I am going to have to buy a spot welder and make my own battery pack.  Pretty much will fill up that whole triangle.  Figure I'd have my wife make a custom bag to cover it so it looks like a frame bag that is conveniently the width of an 18650 battery.  I'd love to have a CAD of the frame though and no dealers in town to measure one out on.

Contact the manufacturer? They may be willing to provide the info for your modification.

Ah, the no one got you.  I care.  Problem is we don't even follow pareto here.  Hardly anyone falls in that category.  it is getting better, but too slowly.

    I am insanely confused

Farmers that don't fetch real market value go there to sell of their animals.  One of the lovely problems with the food sourcing in our country is that no one is focused on quality because quality and price don't match.  Eveyrone wants walmart cheap.  Sad.

Most of the time I could not agree more.

    Just create a pipeline.

TURO and Uber along with FB marketplacw proved we can just connect consumers to sellers.  Millions of pigs just got euthanized. It costs a small fortune to deal with that biomass safely. All of that could have re-entered the market by getting it into the hands of butchers who dont need to worry about the animals being too big or too small.

The euthanized animals mostly die because there is a blockage in processing and the inability to get the people with the pigs to the people who would gladly custom butcher.

This is why many smaller butchers have gone to Omaha Steaks for their sales. Add in the fact that many specialize in grass fed beef, or exotic meats like bison, elk, and bear; it's a great thing. Many people prefer the convenience of going to the store, and choosing their own cuts of meat, so the price needs to be justifiable.
