This is my favorite part, the installation. There is no better feeling than the feeling of accomplishment. Being involve and using your hands, that is why I DIY. This sub allows for that feeling of accomplishment without the need for a complex build. A simple sealed box yields results here. This is what I built. It so happened I already had a sealed box for a pair of eights. All I had to do was adjust the woofer mounting hole size and I was in business. Here is a side by side of what came out of the box versus what went in. Here is some info on the box. A little test fit before the final install into the box. Subs in a box. I dig the squished together look. Here is the final install. Subs are firing towards the back. Power comes via a Bazooka MGA-1100. Subs are wiring down to 1 ohm, amp power output is 750 at 1 ohm. Crossover point is 80Hz at 18db/oct. The installation was fun and easy. As an added plus, I didn't have to call anybody to help me lift the box in place. The simplicity of the install is perfect for the beginner. The small box requirements are great for the advanced installer, opening up endless locations to squeeze in, this little "big" woofer.

Adding 4" to the diameter would give you a 2" radius flare. That should be enough of a flare. It's gonna be one hell of a mold, read pricey, but hell, if you can, then do. Good luck. Post pics of the mold being made.

So, if they got ten orders for subs and yours is under them all, well poop, you're just gonna have to wait. From my understanding the glue and recones is something they offer as a convenience to customers that isn't a profit center for Fi Car Audio. So buying glue isn't really supporting the cause and even less so when you start a thread to bitch about it. :/ What can I say? If you need glue quickly, I suggest eBay.

Interesting. I had the chance to hear a pair of the shallow mount SI neo motored subs. The system as a whole sounded great and sub output was impressive for a pair of 12s in a 1 cuft box. It was all in a little Volvo hatchback with 1K watts of power on tap for the subs. If I had to guess that system could easily break the 140s on the TL. Quentin if your subs can best the SI subs I'm be in for at least a pair, cost permissible.
