dopeys lie'ing..we're actually all like this. Issues with systems run big though for real in hot springs, it doesnt help that its one of the most humid citys on earth and its always hella hot...Hints the name "HOT Springs"...Like for example today i felt like a had a blanket on it was so humid and that mixed with 98 degrees is rediculous.and if we wana go on that mixed with a already hot amp equals ahh 3rd degree burn......I think the only reason my system cuts out is because i have my speakers on to high with my sub. but when i turn the audio down (SPEAKERS) i can turn my sub up as loud as i want and it wont cut off so really its not all that bad and it doesnt run behind that bad anymore (today)...YES my system does have a mind of its own, shes cool like that...Anways im gonna make a good video of it now so illl post it up on this thread when its done...Thanks for all the help really yall make stuff easier for noobs : Dbtw that computer smiley is really weird? kinda creepy?
k so the video is on hold. For my sister said the lens wont work and it wont turn on..I THINK SHES LIE'n

Do you have a phase knob on your sub amp?If so, play some tight fast bass songs, and slowly twist the knob from stop to stop and put it where the bass sounds onbeat the most.

Your ishts fine...you caught it before you did any real damage.
That's not the sub as-is. Read this quote:
it doesnt sound crappy and im really dont wana unscrew it outa the box soooo i htink ill just cross my fingers and hope for the best? That was after the picture of the sub was posted and after he was told to check for discoloration on the coils.
u mean before i was supposed to check for discoloration i think but i think its straight, if its muffd then glissons will check if for me when they install me amp with bigger wiresssss.
hoooola

Easiest way is if it sounds like crap. Could check for discoloration of your coils. That's a big geological difference too

1/5th means nothing. You either need an ear to hear distortion or a dmm if you don't have the ear. What are you using for power wires and where are they run to?i have no doubt my wires are run correctly..my friend told me that if the grounded negative wire is touching the power wire then it can cause heating problems. Idk if it worked because i havent run it since i seperated them about an hour ago.
That doesn't even come close to answering my question, how about I make it more specific. What gauge wire are you running and to what do you have it connected to?
5 guage from battery to fuse box to amp
And your ground?
its a 9 guage wire i believe. Im going to this place called glissons here in town and theyre gonna rewire my hole system. Im gonna get them to do it in 0 or 2 guage. I think that will take care of the hole over heating because i was thinking that since my wire is so small its only giving out a 1000 watt stream and my amp pushes 2000 sooooooo thats a bit of a strain when the volume gets up. It stays cool when the volumes down i figured today so this should take care of the hole heating problem with my amp. It should also juice up my sub a bit as well...I CANT WAIT WOOT WOOT

Could it be that the sub is wired to .5 ohm instead of 2 ohms? Maybe double check the wiring to be positive it's not an installation error.I vote 1/2ohm install. As far as caps go everyone has their own opinion, I love my Alumapro Cap 15 and wouldn't run without it but then again I also upgraded the electrical as well. Wire the sub in series my friend, if you don't know how find out how asap.
i wired in series with a wire from one posotive and one negative to eachother and the other two to the terminal cup..i have the dual 1 ohm so that would make it a 2 ohm load im runing at

my friend told me that if the grounded negative wire is touching the power wire then it can cause heating problems. If the insulation is touching, no...if the conductors are touching, "heating problems" is a bit of an understatement
insulation? as in the rubber that covers the wire?

Im runing a kicker zx1000 to a Q 12 and the amp pushes 1225 watts rms. so i know that the amp is pushing the sub fine without trouble but i cant figure out why its getting hot. yall can prob tell im frustrated and if you cant I AM
: D thanks guys
