thanx Nickwhat about the 3rd slug? is that for the hi x max option ?
I would need propably dual 1.4 or quad 0.7 coils to load my amps down properly as beforeI had dual 0.7 and had almost no gain from 4 amps to 8 because of the coil config..and only had 1db gain from 2 to 4 amps because of the same thing... best load for me will be 0.35 strapped... with my huge impedance rise the amps will be happy
well off to owrk I go, I hope I can get a reply by tonight here it is 1:42pm I work till 9pm ...
thanx again
can I get some stickers too
No real need for the 3rd slug, Carlos is running 2 slugs with a bunch of power and they're fine.
What amps are you running?
last season the van ran 8 american bass 500.1's
only strapped at 1.4 since thats what coils I had ( DVC 0.7 )
thats why now I want to do DVC 1.4 so I can strap a pair of amps per pair of subs at 0.35
thats where they played the best
Im not sure if u know Chris Cecco from Team Northern SPL ..its his van Im working on
he used to be the RE Canadian Distributor

thats sad... you're gonna be a hater over a couple stickers? well you shoulda just bought an Audiobahn! you get stickers and maybe earplugs... those are just for toning down the sound of the distortion... but hey...you'll have a nice sticker

if i had a phone number for them I wouldnt waste my time here waiting for a reply I would talk to them place my order and send the money!
but I can understand why they dont give their numbers out... its a pain in the as$... I once tried running a bussiness on my cell phone...wasted alot of time talking and not getting work done... besides that Im in Canada and its a 3hour time difference

btw..one thing I have forgotten to mention is which do you think will be louder? 1-15" in 3.2cu ft volume after all displacements with 130sq in port area.... or 2 12's in 3.7cu ft with 128sq in port area ... both will be same tuning ?? both will be MT's

Does the recone kit include shims?I found the cardboard from the bottom of a kleenex box works well for me when spacing the coil... just make sure you use atlest 4 strips and make them somewhat wide and long enough that they do not wall inside the motor and u cant get them out 6" + works good

ok thank youbtw..what kind of glue do u use on the surround? Ive been using CA for everything ( a pain to clean for reconing)but I noticed the original MTs have some sort of yellowish glue kinda like contact cement
I think its polyurethane glue. But it doesn't take long to clean a basket with an angle grinder and sanding disc.
ok thanx Scott... sorry long time no reply... but the recones work great... still not quite broken in but works great
the 15" dvc 0.6 is takin on a single American Bass 500.1 and doin 153.3dB on TL in my neon trunk
what ever you did its working great
thanx again... I will need more parts very soon please email me when u get this
I actually wanted to know what the coils capability is? someone told me the MT coils are only good for 50 amp... this one seems to be taking 76.8 amps like a champ

please send email with tracking info

What do you need recones for?I was told you guys were the ones to talk to about RE MT recones for models before the US Amp transition (not sure if there have been any changes to motor after that)
what i need:
18" MT recone 3x stiff spiders dual 0.7 alum coils
15" MT recone 3x stiff spiders dual 0.7 alum coils
12" MT recone 3x stiff spiders dual 0.7 alum coils
and
10 SX standard config but with 0.7 alum coils
and if it possible to buy soft parts and possibly build these myself including coils... I have quite a few 15" and 18" cones but I need 10's and 12's
let me know please I really desperately would like to have all my subs reconed before the weekend of the 17th of June and I live in Ontario so shipping will take a few day
my contact info is listed above
my appologies if I seem impatient
Thanx,
Peter
