Wanted to see how much power people are putting to the level 4 subs. I am thinking of useing some 12's for a NSPL no wall car and a little bass race setup. I have a few IA40.1's laying around. How much can they handle for Burps and music. Thanks
-J
I know one guy that has a Stetom 2 7K and 4 LV4s, hes had that system for over a year he does db drag and its his daily beater, burps in the 155s and another guy with 2 hifonics goliaths and 4 lv4s also burps in the 155,s for ovr a year with no failures, The secont guy bass races a 152. something i think was his best. for daily theres a lot of 1600 watt per sub people out there, for burps them most i have ever put to one was about 3500 watts

If its the first of the 2 then im going to go build a set of subs for myself!!! HAHAHAHAHA as for the 1300rms on the LV3 the coil will take it, but the rest of the woofer is not designed to, you really want a bigger motor and more suspention for 1300 rms, take a look at the LV4, it will make better use of the power and have more control at 1300 wattsohh i see, so would a lv4 be good with only 1300wrms or would it be better with more? for my next sub im looking for 1 12 ported that can take my re12.1 amp wiht no sweat.
Perfect, the LV4 will pound off 1300 rms =], I loved that amp, sad when they stopped making it, Totally understand US amps kinda had it covered

now what kind of special are we talking about, is it like you just had sex with your gf for the first time special or like you get a good grade on a test you did not study for kinda special? haha either way i'll look into the lv3 for my next sub. so with the dvc2 colis a 12 will handle 1300wrms daily in a ported box right?

I would roll with the 2 12 set up, they might work better with your box limitations, Ive never hears the Icon but seems like its got a lot of support so why not give it a shot!

Nice job on the strong cone, Nothing like putting power to a sub and watching the cone shred.

Ya, Ive seen that go both ways, And if It does hurt you might need to retune, A lot of times it will lower you note

Very Nice Number!!

Not from me =] I would like to the know the details of your system just because i think its interesting that a woofer would run out of rearward clearence with only RMS power going to it. It's even harder to do in a sealed application,
