get a jasper jig

Has anyone heard them? If so how do they sound and what size enclosure were they in. How much power was running to them? I am wanting to see if I can run a pair in a 12 net cube box with an AQ 2200 on each. Also if anyone has any vids please post them I really want to see what they can do.

It is not the first time I have heard of it either, however I have not had any awkward mechanical noises and they hit every note with authority and I can definately tell a major tonal difference between frequencies. I guess I just have the right enclosure and everything tuned right.

I do not know what people are talking about with DD and AQ drivers making mechanical noises. I have 2 HD3 15's in 8 net cubes on 2500 RMS each and I have never heard any kind of mechanical noise from them, and my original HD3 15's hit every note i throw at them with no problem and I can definately tell a major tone difference in different frequencies. I have heard some MT's and IMO the HD3's get just as loud and sound a little better. I guess it is just the enclosure.

Do you have any other pics, like of the basket, mounting depth, and motor/magnet assembly? What is the RMS for a 15"? Do the older models handle more power and are they more durable? I heard you sacrificed power handling for superb SQ, is this true, or will this be an upgrade from the previous model?

What would be a good size ported box for 2 ED EHQS 12's on a diamond D3 400.1? it is going in a Scion TC

Can a line out converter cause distortion in the system? The reason I ask is because I have some of the ED EHQS 12's and I hooked a 12 up to my brothers system in a 2 cube sealed box on a RF P3001, on 400 watts, and it sounded clean and got pretty loud. But just now I hooked the same sub up to my girlfriend's system also a 2 cube sealed box on Diamond 400.1, @ 2 ohm only 200 watts, and the sub is bottoming out in her setup. My brother has an aftermarket pioneer HU and my girlfriend is running off of a converter and her stock Pioneer HU, she has a Scion TC. Could the sub be bottoming out now because it is off of a stock HU and converter, does that cause a dirty signal?

it was played for about 5 minutes to see how it would do, i was impressed for $20, no distortion at all, in her setup it bottoms on the thump/punch notes and it has to be turned up pretty loud. Long low, mid and high bass sounds fine it is just the thumpy/punchy bass that bottoms and it has to be turned up pretty loud.

It could be some air leaking as the hole cut out are a little bit big

As I said the sub was fine in my brother's box and I put that in there after my girlfriend's box

I know that they offer the SD1 and SD1v.2 and that they are coming out with the nightshade but the SD1v.2 is too small for me, does not take enough power and the nightshade takes plenty of power but it appears to be geared towards full blown SPL, correct me if I'm wrong. I was wondering if there are going to be any subs to fill the gap between these woofers, a good daily driving sub that can take a good 2-2.5kw RMS. I was also wondering about the amps. I know that the 1500 will do around 2kw and the 3000 will do around 3.5-4kw. However I was wondering if there are going to be any amps that do in between, maybe a SAE-2000 or 2500. Let me know any info thank you.

i have a KLH 10" side firing powered sub. On the amp it has speaker terminals and i remember reading and seeing pics in the manual about hooking speakers up to that same amp but I do not remember what it said and I do not have the manual. Does anyone know what I am talking about, sorry I can not explain it any better. If you know what I am talking about how would I hook up more speakers?

I am not looking for all out SPL but I do want it stupid loud for daily use. The SAZ-2000 sounds like what I am looking for probably do 2.5kw and more. And I am looking for a sub that is loud and sounds good like my HD3 15.

chit my bad did not see the shipped part. I just woke up and only got 3 hours of sleep. Even better prices. I bet these things will perform very well and get very loud.

Damn good pricing if i did not have my money in HD3's I would get 2 of these. They look very impressive. Do those pre-order prices include shipping? If not how much more will that be since it look like they weigh around 70lbs.

Well I can only hear it when i am playing higher frequencies when I play low pounding frequencies there is no noise. When i disconnect the RCAs there is no noise but the noise is still there if I disconnect the sub. I tried swapping for new RCAs it did not help. I could not go get Y adapters like Maxxsonics said so I just ran the RCAs from the HU to that amp and the noise was still there. So the only time the noise is completely gone is when I unhook the RCAs the amp is located near the box but not on it, I am running 2 of them and the other amp does not make any noise and is in the same place. And the amp only makes the noise on the high frequencies such as the "this is why i'm hot" beat. Anything with low and pounding drawn out bass it does not make any noise. And yes i have put my ear to the amp after hearing what sounded like a new rattle and sure enough it was the amp.

I have 2 Hifonics BXI2607's and I noticed earlier today while listening to my system that one of the amps is making a rattling, buzzing noise when the bass hits. It only does it on the higher frequencies which do not hit that hard, the lower frequencies which are louder and hit harder the amp does not make any noise. The noise is coming from the RCA area of the amp. It is not the amp that I have running to the HU, it is the amp that I used a jumper RCA to hook up. I noticed that the amp does not make the noise until I get the volume up to 20/35 on the HU and gets louder as I increase the volume. I did not even notice it until I was in the back close to the amp, I thought it was just another rattle, but I unplugged the RCAs from the amp and it went away. The other amp does not make any noise, I switched RCAs and that did not help. What could the problem be, is it a bad amp? Do i have the gains turned up too much, both amps are balanced at putting out the same voltage. Is it harmful to my amp, because as I said I did not even notice until the volume was turned down on a song that does not bump hard, other than that the amp works great, it puts out the power fine and never even gets warm. My main concern is what could be causing it and if it is possibly harmful to my amp? Any help would be appreciated.

get the Hifonics 2607 they are solid amps. People talk alot of chit about Hifonics but this amp puts out tons of power

I know that they have upgraded the Death Penalty line subwoofers but I do not have the money or power to run them, so I was wondering if they changed or upgraded the Lethal Injections, and if they did what are the specs and how much do the 15's run? What type of upgrades were made etc. I tried to contact IA by phone, they have not answered, and by e-mail, they have not replied. If anyone has any information about these let me know. I know that the last model Lethal Injection subs were very good for the midline subs and I assumed that if they upgraded the DP line they might have also upgraded the LI line, if so I am highly considering them, I was considering them anyway, but if they have been improved than I will definately have to get some. Does anybody have any experience with them? Do they do rated power? I have heard rumors, but no proof, about the earlier models not making rated power. How reliable and durable are they? I have never used Hifonics so I am a little curious, I am thinking about getting 2 of them.

I am looking at the $25 TC9 motor, for those who do not know what I am talking about they can be found at caraudiojunkyard.com. There are 4 variations of the TC9 motor, which one is this? The only thing I know about them is that they are the ones with the 1" slugs. Is that the same motor that is used on the SS RL-P's? If not does anyone know of a sub that this model TC9 motor is used on? I am trying to figure out which one I am getting. If it is the model on the RL-P's then I might have to get some for sure.
