    Has anyone used something like this? its a usb controlled 4 relay board. Working on a carpc and thought this might be easier to use than running switches to turn things on and off. It would be nice to be able to just turn off either highs ( for burping at comps) or turn off subs (when not needed or late at night). The only thing I'm worried about right now is I've seen a few videos of some of these and they seem to cycle when the boards powered up worried there might be an unneeded thump caused.

    And not only using it for amps but to control leds etc

    I am working on the carpc thing atm. I'm swinging to a windows based one myself seeing as I have quite a bit of music from my zune pass, so I should be able to have all that on a hard d drive and have it available in the car.

    With a car pc there is no need for a processor if you don't need it.

    Thanks to adrian he pointed me to some programs. Virtual Audio Cable and Audiomulch. VAC basically lets you decide where the audio goes and audiomulch will allow you to be active, dunno off the top of my head the size of the equalizer.

    If you shop around you can build a carpc cheaper than that unit and even have it in a double din case.

    Yeah. Picked up a honda accord motor off of craigslist to rebuild and when we got home was like "how the fuck am I getting that out of the truck?" Luckily my it was in my buddies lifted tacoma so I just grabbed it and told my buddy to take a pic.

    Get an ASIO capable sound card and with the right software (audio repeater / virtual cable and audiomulch) you can pretty much kill a single mini-dsp. That's how we did it in the 06 Passat install and it's a 4-way system.

    Will look into that.

    So basically you want to wall it? Otherwise your dimensions are closer to 38x25x16. Which is roughly what I had 2 15 xcons sealed and it was around 6cf. I had a buddy make a custom fit box taking up all the cargo area and it was 8cf@34hz.

    Imho I would prolly do 2 12's ported that way you get something in an optimal box instead if just trying to get something to fit.

    Ok you minidsp people. If I had a carputer running centrafuse front end/ windows os, would there be any reason I wouldn't be able to control the minidsp using the carputer? After having the 80prs I really like the ability to change things on a whim. Also I'm looking at needing 8 channels correct? Plan on doing a 3 way front end (tweet/midrange on one amp) (midbass on its own amp) then sub amps.

    Was looking at the 2x8 with digi add on so that I could do optic out from the motherboard. Figured that would be better than doing 3.5mm to rca adapter.

    You are a dipshit. Its not about him not getting what he wants. He had an agreement that things would be met in a certain timeline, if he ran said subs. Time wasn't met and now he's missing out on shows. Obviously you don't compete so I dont expect you to comprehend what missing shows means to you in the longrun. But I'll make it simple for you. You need x amount of points to attend finals. If you don't get those points you are shit out of luck. He has sponsers and those sponsers want their names shown at shows/finals. So please gtfo here and go back to posting your shitty opinion somewhere else.

    Then don't act like you don't have a fucking clue. From what I've read he's actually handling the situation pretty good all things considered. I've been in audio for 13 years and this was my first year competeting. It doesn't take 20+ years of experience to realize that not having equipment for shows sucks. ESPECIALLY WHEN PEOPLE PLAN ON ATTENDING FINALS. So son quit with your bullshit and quit making idiotic statements and go back to the ihop so people can ignore you there.
