  1. Nice box man, what wood did you use? Birch?

Actually BC plywood, 7 ply........light and strong! I had a box just like this that was made out of MDF for my DC XL 18s, heavy as hell though. This one is much lighter and stronger..... I took a chance cause it's cheaper than mdf around here, $25 for it, $32 for MDF, $45-60 for birch...works well though :fing34:

  2. insanely clean install... question.. why do you have a S-series and D-series batteries in your trunk install??? Just curious..... :ughdunno:

They are the same batteries, he probably couldnt find another D-series at the time to have all matching batteries.

Correct...Mechman was out of the D1200s and had those S1200s on sale and explained that they were the same batteries.

Thanks for the comments guys... :woot:

  3. I recently got 2 of the new Havocs with the solid pole and improved cooling, and I must say these subs are AWESOME. I've owned the older model havocs before (2008) and these are much better! Each is powered by a RF T1500-1bdcp (1800+ rms) and they seem like they need more...LOL. Box is 11.85 after displacements tuned to 29hz. No vids yet be will have some soon

  4. Well I've owned both Q and Havoc, and ran both in indentical boxes, and off the same power. The sq was about the same to me! Only difference was that the havocs got louder doing it!!! I had both setups running off a T10001bd to each sub. The Havocs handled the power better and when I switched from the T10001bd to the T1500-1bd, they really came to life! Both are awesome subs so you can't go wrong with either!!!
