Ur sooo rad bro, can I be your friend and hang out with you? forsure!! i have added you as a friend on here your location is pretty far from the USA but i visit district 9 sometimes If this guy doesn't know how to wire a switch, do you expect him to think so outside of the box and lock his switch? Or take the buzzer out? He won't be cool in front of his buddies. I have never tried 2 wire a switch and when I went to buy one to try there was 15 drawers of different kinds most of which has alot of inputs and outputs

Pepboys, autozone, radioshack, you can buy a toggle switch from any of them. Better off just ordering one off Ebay, as I saw a few switches for like $15 each at pepboys

Do you know a good speaker kill switch?

thanks ill print that and take it up there the manager didn't know anything i wish it were blue tho lol yes i do and one of my high are currently blown and disconnected so i was thinking of wiring it in there i understand the risk of mis matching speakers so im skeptical however i would only be running for the movie so 2-3 hours and nowhere near full tilt i like the idea of wiring it to the headunit rear as i have all speakers front anyways my luck i would leave the outside speaker turnt up on accident and geta ticket lulz like i said.... i cannot have the doors open with the key in the ignition without hearing the door chime what kind of mod don't read the entire thread before posting you would love if i made topics to troll but sorry you're out of luck today As for the too "simple a question" argument you have typed.... I looked at some switches at radio shack and almost all had 4-6 inputs on them Idk if there is some specific switch in the car audio world that people use so excuse me How about trying to answer the question M5, since it is so simple You need a single pole switch. Personally I'd use it to allow power to my headunit so I could open the doors without chimes.nice idea but like i said earlier.... me and my friends do not want 2 be sitting behind a car especially one that has the doors open

wow at all the concern for my money like im about to spend thousands can someone who actually knows a site that sells toggle switches that are good for car audio speakers and easy 2 flip on and off and not chrome industrial please chime in something that lights up would be sweet i wish i never mentioned what it was for but then i would be trolling don't some show guys have switches they use for when they open the back doors so they don't drive around with speakers playing that are not in the cabin?

yea me and my friends usually sit on law chairs in front of the cars nobody wants 2 sit behind the car, we want to see the movie not a spoiler and our drive in audio is all done through a radio AM station I can't have the doors open with the key in the ignition without hearing the bell Thanks for help and Mustang guy too I'm sure that's all i will get and now it will turn into a shitstorm attention nolifers: why i want to put a speaker outside my car and the specifics about how we do it at our drive in should not be questions u trolls should be posting here i am asking about using a DECENT kill switch for a speaker if you do not know ANYTHING then do not post trying 2 flame my ideas

Do you know a good speaker kill switch?

So i would have to run a separate amp for the marine speaker? I was kinda hoping to have it wired into my highs @ 4ohm currently and hit 8ohm when the switch is turned on of course I would only turn the switch on when the systems off If it makes any difference I would only be running 150watts max
  15. You are the guy that buys the two small pepperoni pizzas for three bucks more than the large even though it is 15% less food. you are the 1 of the guys that scares away the potential new customer with your attitude problem
  16. Rockford!! nice vs thread where people actually pick 1 of the OP
  17. I am no expert but I'd bet that the suspension on the DD is not calculated at "one way" travel like most drivers.... Almost all their drivers are 66mm until you get to the 3500 series... I know they're both great companies but what are you going for just loud bass or great low end? And that means absolutely NOTHING. Glad you can do rudimentary math, but perhaps you should apply it. And still, single ported 8 is teh dumb. why don't you guys answer the question in the OP which sub??? you just want to argue some specs and talk about going ported or not LOL
  18. And that means absolutely NOTHING. Glad you can do rudimentary math, but perhaps you should apply it. And still, single ported 8 is teh dumb. so your input here is that xmax means NOTHING?
  19. i thought it was 13.5 my bad..... but still...... 66mm>32mm
  20. I am no expert but I'd bet that the suspension on the DD is not calculated at "one way" travel like most drivers.... Almost all their drivers are 66mm until you get to the 3500 series... I know they're both great companies but what are you going for just loud bass or great low end? nah prob not 1way but that sundown 27mm xmax is my own number from x2 their 1way spec on http://www.sundownaudio.com/index.php/products/subwoofers/item/sa-series.html?category_id=2
  21. sorry i'm not an experienced box builder we would need more info to help with that what are your max dimensions that will fit in your ride? what ride are you putting the sub in? which amp have you picked? how is your electrical? but if i were to pick between the 2 just straight up.... i pick digital designs as the price is not much different
  22. also the sundown 8" xmax is 27mm while the digital designs 8" xmax is 66mm
  23. only difference i know for sure is that digital designs has direct leads DD 1008 Cutout Diameter 7.16 FS 47.78 Hz Magnet Weight 90 oz Mounting Depth (in.) 4.5 Nominal Impedance D2.0 Ohm / D4.0 Ohm Power Handling RMS/Peak 500/2000 QTS 0.593 QES 0.635 QMS 8.935 Shipping Weight 14lbs Suspension Travel 66 mm VAS 3.343 Voice Coil Diameter 2.0" Sundown 8 v2 RE: 3.36 ohms FS: 34.6 Hz VAS: 7.44 L Qes: 0.35 Qms: 10.10 Qts: 0.33 Le: 1.34 mH BL: 17.56 NA Mms: 146.120 g Sens: 81.5 RMS: 500 Watts
