Well then. As far as an amp goes I would say go for good customer service because like you said many of them are basically the same board and internals. I personally recommend sundown as I have no experience with soundqubed. Both have sub forums in this site and shouldn't be too hard to contact if necessary. As for sub I don't think anyone would ague about going for an xcon. Very musical and very capable of scaring you and anyone you demo for. I have a 10" xcon and still can't get over what it is capable of for such a small driver. Take some measurements of what will fit and there are quite a few people that would be willing to help with box design if you Feel uncomfortable doing it yourself or just want a second opinion.

I haven't seen this yet so... Is there a budget for this install? I mean, while the xcon and zcon are ABSOLUTLY brutal subs, there are great options for less $. Doesn't sound like space is a major concern. Let's narrow the field a bit.

Do not try to multi task with DSL. If someone is watching Netflix, it'll freeze the whole connection if you try to get on the Internet at the same time. That was century link about 3 years ago. Absolute pain in the ass. I'm not sure how much bandwidth it takes to game online, but if I was, nothing else would work. If it did it would kick me out of a game.

I left my job at a Subaru dealership to become the lead tech at Big O for the simple fact of pay. While I enjoyed how extremely easy subees are to work on, I made less than 1/3 what I do now. I won't try to pretend I can keep up with sandt on being a mechanic ( we are in a small store and limited by corporate to little more than maintenance ) I can say most people think mechanics are a rip off. Some truly are. Example, about a week ago a 1998 Taurus came in with a no start. After some diag I told him it needed a new computer. It had lost the ability to control the injectors. The customer lost it, told me he already check fuel pressure and knew it needed a fuel pump, towed it somewhere else. They put a pump and filter in it, then ended up doing a pcm just like I said it needed. Had they done a little diagnostic before hand maybe they could have kept a customer. As it stands, I now have a loyal customer that knows I will fix whatever is needed and not throw parts till it works. It's always an uphill battle in this field with the lack luster performance of some "mechanics."
