    How is it coming along?

Terminals have changed.. as have the cones.. there slightly different in look but they are generally same mix as the previous ones. If you have a previous one sure it will look a little different but its very subtle

Four BTL 15 N2s, three different cutouts

Are you sure the baskets are not cracked around the flange or warped? Seen that happen which throws off the cutout diameter, of course they'd be no good if they were fractured/warped.

    Team Fi audio?

Dont rule it out. Team Fi is not a bad thing and would do no harm. It certainly helps shares information, tips and experiences in the field of SPL competition be it out and out burp wars or streetbeat monsters. We have a little one in the UK and Fi is certainly gathering momentum as a tried and trusted SPL/Streetbasser product. Team 'Fi' doesnt need to have the word sponsership tag'd around it.. I say its a good thing

  13. So not wanting to spoil the stance and look achieved took the TUK Customs - http://www.tukcustoms.com/ for a chassis notch. It was a complete and utter pig of a job, first time for them. Without removing the front end the notch was sucessful.. no more rubbing driveshaft. View of the KWs.. you'll notice dent on the sill and scuff on the bumper.. Not anymore! exterior getting respray minus roof, tailgate and rear bumper.. All the dings dents, scuffs were taken care of. Other additions I had undertaken was, smoothed front number plate recess, headlight washers, gloss painted upper grill, black mirrors, black door b posts. . Next I updated the rear end with some Cambridge lights. I used my airsaw to knock out the orange reflector inside and used chrome/amber bulbs for a cleaner look. Left one is removed, right is how they come.. One fitted above so you can see the difference. After a going over the whole car with Megs #205 on my brand new Flex Rotary (the Mercedes-Benz of the rotary world!) used Werkstatt Prime followed by Werkstat Trigger as a LSP, tyres dressed with Zaino Z-16.
  14. So when I took on this project I had freedom to get creative on the exterior too. After searching forums, classifieds, ebay etc for several weeks I came across these. Very rare Borbet Bs. 7.5x16 ET30 with BMW fitment (PCD 4x98) Fitted with Pirellis finest PZero Nero 195/40/16s. On intial fitting the rears had room for spacing.. Stock archs, needing some rolling/flaring here! Front passanger side arch looking little worse for wear.. On with making the weeks tuck and poke for the perfect stance, I pulled out my arch roller and got to work. KW Variant 1s fitted already.. as you can see after few pases the paint was cracking. I made no effort to heat the panel as we already decided to respray the car. How the rears looked after.. All 4 were done the same. Fronts were little harder to achieve a fully flat result due to the limitations of the arch roller.. Lupos are pretty small cars! How it sat after adding 12mm rear spacers and 5mm up front. Final offset of ET18 rear ET25 front. But at this ride height the driveshaft was rubbing on the chassis. Well known problem on some VWs...
  15. Seats back from Bespoke Auto Interior's. Phil did exactly what I asked him, took a design from a seat I had previously seen.. I chose a thread I knew that would match with the rest of the build (he has alot of reels!!) finalised the panel work and left it with him for few weeks.. Couple of weeks later I failed triming the door builds so back to Phil to help me out! (I'm getting to the limit of where 'stretch' will allow me to go.. Phils impecable stich work should have me out of bother for future builds from now on) Same colour thread used in all stichwork throughout the build. Tweeter builds also done by Phil, 1 piece! And alot of F"£$"££"$!! I'm told lol Not keen on leaving fixture points showing on the mids I had thes acrylic rings CNC machined, attached with a 3m tape. They can be removed, but will require re-application of the foam tape. Don't worry they dont fall off with the flex Doors complete!
  16. Peeled back the protection layer to reveal glass like finish. LED tape installed wired Triming lower battery cover Top portion.. BTW those little brackets are removed now Done! No lights on here, the plex will pop Like so Was hard to capture it on that day..
  17. Figured I'd update this one. I wasn't really keen on the OE seats, so looked round for alternatives. MK4 Golf GTI Recaros came up, and required little modification. These sit nice and low compared to the stock items, when pumped all they way down. Mr 'Big' soon appears like a 2ft midget sat behind the wheel lol. Pieces all ready for triming. Seats, door cards, Door & tweeter builds sent off to http://bespokeautointeriors.co.uk for triming.. more on those later. With the theme I went with I pulled anything I knew that could be hit with piano black paint. All items were sent to my buddy Sam who did a fantastic job. Also modified the ICE Series end plates and shot these in the booth too. Time to fit the subs and install back the stud nuts... Square washers were also shot black.. Done. Next up a panel to display volt meter and master bass control.. This slides into a lower1/2 slot. Using some acrylic being used elsewhere in the build.. Done. . Back to triming, Alcantara shows up from Italy.. Lower panel done. Wall trim panel done.
  18. Where did you buy this sub from?

    Box adjustment

Joseph Please send me internal box dimensions. I'll give you the pointers to make it work. More port area would be better, don't worry to much about musicality I can assure you it will play like a beast. Put up some numbers and I'll do some crunching
  20. 4mm. Not much between them.. I do like the Silent Coat bumpy backing, you can tell if you missed a bit when rollering the surface. Plus its better overall on price too.
  21. Thanks guys. Will put up somemore pics soon.
  22. Thanks guys. I'm working on the van right now, so expect some updates in the future
  23. Anyone out there know of any 2ch or 4ch full range amps that can handle 17v? Most seem to be 15.5v-16v MAX. Dont really like the idea of running half a dozen step downs Thanks, Am
