While I was at work today, someone somehow managed to get into my car and grab my two week old Glock 26 9mm and my wallet. What a day. Any suggestions on what I can do to recover this thing? I've already filed a police report and I will be checking local pawn shops as well as setting up cameras around our cars (mine wasn't the only one that someone got into). This sucks... That thing wasn't cheap and a gun is not something to be on the streets...

In a 1999 Toyota Tacoma, sub forward and port forward was louder than both up. Sub forward port side is the loudest combo we've gotten in a truck though.

Looks real nice, the blue logo looks good too.Got some new ones that we gotta get pics of up on the website..
The Fire and styled aluminum (can't remember the right name right now..i think it is technically 'rubbed aluminum') looks awesome!
More cool stuff to come.
Brushed aluminum? That would look sweet.
Nice install and choice of equipment!

Of course that's possible. Completely plausible.
I have a feeling you will break 110 dB with.... almost any setup that includes a subwoofer.

Ok so I thought I had solved my problem, but now whenever I have the radio on and RCA's grounded, I get HORRIBLE engine noise through the speakers. I thought it was the radio, so I switched between the Kenwood and the Pioneer, and the problem occurs with both radios. So, any ideas on how to stop this? Replace RCA's? Give up? Thanks.

So it is a SAFE solution to manually ground the jacket of the RCA wires? I mean as a 'permanent' solution?

i thought this could be it, turns out it was.All it takes is one rca line to malfunction, it can feed back through the head unit and disrupt all other lines as well as it appears is what's goin on.
that's why i said a while back in this thread if u eer got any extra rcas connected and just lyin around to pick em up as it can pick up enough interference to feed back as well.
So, how to permanently solve the problem?
Well, here's the kicker-
Even though you have swapped out HUs, we have narrowed it down to 2 things, either the HU still or the rcas.
Why am i considering the HU?
Because you are still using the same brand. As with Pioneer, their HUs have been known to do this as well.
A quick cheap simple solution would be to swap out both rcas with new ones.
If this doesnt work, you must manually ground your rcas.
Actually, the other radio was a Kenwood Excelon, and I have had it in there for 3 years.
There are no extra RCA's anywhere. I use all 6 channels of output, and there are three sets of RCA wires in my car, with all plugged in.
Why exactly does this happen? I don't really understand the problem. I mean all I did was touch the jacket of the RCA to the amp ground, and both amps magically turned on through the original remote turn on (they wouldn't work through the turn on... only directly connected) and began playing like always... I'm just confused. Thanks for helping me out man.

Shizzon, I love you.
Ok grounding the RCA worked. Both amps turned on, sound was crisp and clear and everything was as it should be. Tell me, What should I do so that my stereo will stay working? Thank you!!!!!!

Red and Yellow are hooked up correctly to the hot and the ignition. I'll try the tricks Shizzon suggested real quick.

The radio is BRAND NEW and the problem has happened with MULTIPLE RADIOS...

you must have power assists steering. it a motor and motor can cause noise on some cars like my Taurus it has a radio capacitor on the ignition to keep out ignition noise i bet there is some little cap that could be affecting this. or also i seen in the newer rangers the cd player will slope back from not being mounted right and not be at perfect 90degree flat and the disk will wobble and kinda a rubbing noise like described is made.It happens on disks, Aux input, the radio, everything. It is not a CD player problem... It isn't noise, it is more like the entire radio is just randomly cutting out

Ok, lets go over everything-You have 1 amp powering your sub stage.
You replaced the HU and it still does it.
Your door speakers are wired to your HU.
Even the radio does this...
You must look at what hasn't changed.
The door speakers wiring and the HU wire harness are still the same. However, since no bass outputs at all when door speakers are off too, i'm leaning toward the wire harness...
Something behind the HU is touching something it isn't or something back there is malfunctioned that is a part of the wiring back there.
1 amp for substage, 1 amp for surrounds.
No speakers hooked up to the deck. Aux, radio, CD, everything.
Either everything plays, or everything is off.

Yeah pretty weird huh... Like I said, this shouldn't be a deck problem as it is EXACTLY the same with two completely different decks... one of them being brand new. I just wanna cry.

Here is a video of the problem. The amps just blink on if they are hooked up to the regular remote, so I direct wired them to the battery in order to get them to stay on. Here is a video of what happens when, occasionally, the stereo actually decides to play. All connections are as they have always been. And keep in mind that this exact problem happened with another H/U, so it is not that. I am thinking that it could be the little "box" that is an adapter for my wiring harness. I don't really know what the problem is. This is depressing... Here is the vid:

No.... It started doing this out of nowhere. Here, I'll take a video of the problem to see if anyone else will help me... I'm about ready to just take it to a shop.... Which I have never done because mine is... inadequate.

Hey guys. Ok so a few weeks ago, my stereo began to exhibit a strange problem. It would sort of skip but while fading in and out with weird background noise that sounds like a disk spinning. I figured it was the CD player in my deck, but this problem occurred while using Aux and the radio as well.
The problem directly correlates with me slowing down, turning, or making any change in direction, and it is VERY sporadic.
I obviously figured it was my deck, so I replaced it with a new one. The problem is now occurring again. I'm at a loss. It is obviously not anything in the deck, and I cannot figure out where this very odd fading/skipping would come from. And like I said, it has SOMETHING to do with movement of some kind, as this does not happen when I am just driving straight without stopping or turning. Any help is appreciated, for this is tearing me apart. Thanks!

Havoc is a no go for SPL. I mean it can get loud, but it is primarily a SQ driver. I'd go with something else, like a BTL or Nightshade or something more tuned for SPL...
Provided, I was able to get a 143.5 at 35 Hz with my 15" Havoc.

You are insane. This is probably one (if not the most) of my favorite vehicles. I really like how much detail is put into everything, and how each tiny detail is planned out and organized. Props dude!
