  1. For 2 months now I've heard this song and wondered who it was. Didn't know it was Pop Evil! Killer tune.....
  2. There are a lot of great bands/artists out there that are kicking ass and taking names. And most of them will never be heard outside of their region. Thought this would be a good place to help spread the word on some of your favorites. Where better to share music than with the people who are going to crank the tunes? I'll get things started with a few close friends that have been ripping up the scene around here. First up.... Waking Tera. Genre-Metal.... These guys have been blowing things up the past couple of years here in NC, opening for various bands from Trapt to Orgy(<----awesome group of guys as well, can't believe I never saw them back in the day). Second.... Killing The Catalyst. Genre-Metal.... Another great group of guys from NC that bring it every time. Just finished recording with Jamie King (producer of Between The Buried And Me) and this cd is gonna be BRUTAL! Right now they're in talks with a few labels and are holding out on the finished product. This is a non-mastered version but still sounds great! Lastly.... Chris Harlan. Genre-Hip Hop/Rap.... White boy got skills! This track was recorded with Pam Saulsby (local tv news anchor/musician) as a tribute to all the soldiers serving in the war in Afghanistan. The song was sent to the troops, and a portion of the iTunes sales proceeds will be donated to the Fisher House in Ft Bragg, NC. There are many more, but I just wanted to get this started as a way to share your favorites with others. All genres please..... let's help these people reach others outside their local scene. Thanks!
  3. I've been running my 2 Dcons off of 300 watts (total) for a few months now, and I guess my ears are now getting used to the volume. Soooooo......time for more power! I've run across a Zapco Reference 750 that a guy has for $100. Looks to me like a great fit wattage-wise, as it will push 375 per channel or 750 bridged. I just want to know how these amps measure up, as I've never heard of them. Google searches seem to bring up positive reviews, but I'd like to hear from you guys who may have had experience with them. Thanks in advance!
  4. That's what I'm hoping. Hard to find an amp for $100 that will push 750 @ 4 ohms. Just wondering if I'd be better off waiting and putting that $ into something better when more funds become available. But it's hard to pass this up if it's really as good as others have said in the reviews I was able to find. Pretty big freakin amp though.... probably have to mount it to my sub enclosure as my Scion has VERY LITTLE space left with a 4 cu. box in the back.

    Pictures no longer show up

Just got on the work computer and am noticing the same with the avatars. The pictures have never shown up here, due to some security settings they have to prevent social media..... but the avatars have always been there. Using Internet Explorer 8.

    Nspl World Finals

I was planning on going to check out the systems, but a horrible cold has been kicking my a$$ for a week and a half. I did see a couple of vids on the Facebook page for the event. A Sundown badged black Jeep hit 159.9 with a shattered windshield covered with duct tape. Pretty impressive! I'll see if I can link the vid here when I get home. (no Facebook at work)
  7. Yeah.... I've picked up a lot from reading those threads, but that's one song at a time. I was hoping to find some mixtapes that hit hard throughout. Seems a lot of them I'm only keeping 2 or 3 songs. And if it slams in mine, it will in anyone's. I'm not pushing big numbers..... He means every setup is different. Some are built/tuned for numbers and will seem to "slam" on higher frequency bass, where as others are built/tuned for the lows, like mine, and will have more authority on lower frequency bass. There is also the subject of peak frequency and cabin gain. We could have the same exact equipment and same box specs in two different vehicles and it will sound different in each. So he is correct, what "slams" in your car might sound weak in mine. I totally understand what you guys are saying, and maybe I didn't phrase this exactly right. What I'm getting at is that a lot of mixtapes seem to have weak production for whatever reason on a lot of their songs, leading to a crappy listening experience. This particular one had really good production, with very nice bass on practically every track. My car has shook more from this one than any other thus far. Just hoping to find some more well produced ones to listen to.
  8. After downloading nearly a hundred mixtapes, I finally found one that pretty much slams from start to finish. YG's Just Re'd Up 2. If you haven't got it yet, do yourself a favor and check it out. Nice bass throughout.... http://www.datpiff.com/YG-Just-Red-Up-2-mixtape.441217.html But that makes me wonder what else is out there. What gems have you found that pound?

  10. If you haven't already..... check Datpiff.com . I ran across a few bass boosted/chopped mixtapes on there. I haven't tried the boosted ones myself, but if you're looking to add to your library that's a great place to start for any hip hop/rap music in general.

What device do you use? I can watch them on my android phone. I can't watch them on my HTC ONE or the HTC Evo, or the Nexus 1 I had. Have you guys tried installing a different web browser? I had that problem when my Photon died and they gave me a replacement. Guy at the store recommended Dolphin Browser and it seems to work fine now. Worth a shot if you haven't tried it.....

Found these on an old thread a while back. Tells the frequencies played in the songs as well. Definitely a list of bangers! Full thread with other posts can be found at the following link. http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/topic/43192-song-list-with-hz-range/

    2 subs at different tuning?

Couldn't help but think about this thread when I read this. http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/topic/58548-15in-dcons-sealed-vs-ported/ When I was trying to decide whether to go sealed or ported with my Dcons, this guy said he had best results with one of each.... that way he had the best of both worlds. I went ported, but still wonder how that would sound. Never seen it done before (I'm guessing there are reasons I don't understand for it not being practical)..... but seemed to sound the best to this guy.
  18. That's pretty cool.... really upbeat and catchy! Bet they'd be great live! Check these guys out. SwampDaWamp... More of a Southern Rock meets Country sound....but really good! and this one from the Rock Legends Cruise they just played
  19. Nice! Those guys have a pretty unique country sound. Here's one of our most popular country bands. You've probably heard this one by now.
  20. Checked them out.... man those cats are smooth! Reminds me of this band from Raleigh that I used to go to the clubs to see. Never got the break that they should have, and split back in 99. Check them out..... think you'll like them If you dig Funktion. They were a phenomenal live band! Aaron.... I LOVE this band! First time hearing them was when High was played on the radio back in 97. I had the cd the next day.

Interested in this myself.... the one that really gives me hell in my car is Put On by Young Jeezy.
  24. Checked out Chi Boy.... Good stuff! I'll be sending some likes his way. Things like that really help these guys when the big wigs see the numbers. As for Pop Evil, looks like they've finally reached that next level. They're getting airplay on the regular here in NC now. Always knew they were a great band. Congrats to them for what they've achieved! Here's one from the band that spawned Daughtry. Had the opportunity to play a few shows with those guys back in '04 and I knew that they were going somewhere. Well... Chris did and I guess he WAS the star. Thanks for the Tip on Chi Boy. I dig it and have some friends that I know will love it. When you guys see someone you really like, give their vids a like.... like their fb page.... tell your friends so they can enjoy it!
  25. Really????? -2 points for this? Sheeeeesh.... I thought this was done in good taste and would be useful to ANYONE with kids..... not just me. Oh well.....
