  1. Nice! Never noticed those low notes before. Brings back memories...... Always dug this one.... didn't realize how great it would sound on a decent system!
  2. Dubstep violin????? Yesss!!! Thanks man... can't wait to hear this one (youtube blocked at work). lol funny that just came on my Pandora at work. She's cute "side note" Yes she is...... and that track almost put me in a trance. lol Good stuff! Checked out another one of her's while I was at it. Nice!! Seems like the violin is making it's way into a lot of genres nowadays. Met Lyris Hung and her band HUNG at a show they did with us last year. Progressive heavy metal with electric violin. That chick was badass!!! But I guess when you've played with everyone from Trans Syberian Orchestra to Jay Z you gotta be top notch! She's not too bad on the eyes either... DUDE! That's sweeeet..... never knew that Radiohead did anything like that. I figured they all sounded like Creep. They got any others like that? Wow! That is downright brutal! I can't imagine that in some of the rides you guys have. Kinda reminded me of the DJ Magic Mike bass test.....only lower. Awesome!
  3. Never woulda guessed that.... I'll have to try it out!
  4. Dubstep violin????? Yesss!!! Thanks man... can't wait to hear this one (youtube blocked at work).
  5. On it! Thanks again, kind sir. say she wanna fuck with a dope nigga i dont give a mutha fuck im really tryina fuck yeah imma say pass on the psyph haha. hes got bangers forsure but not for the kiddos Lol... yeah, I think little man can do without that. But I'll crank it!
  6. Never heard Gritz, but I've heard a few of Chamillionaire's. Thanks... I'll check him out! Heard some of the Psyph Morrison, and yes....I'll be picking up some of his stuff. As for Decaf, I have 33 zip files with hundreds of his mixes.... but there's A LOT of swearing in there. Take Pornstar for instance...WOW!!! But I do kick it when he's not with me. Thanks! Another new one to check out.... Wow! I'm gonna have a lot of tunes to listen to this week.... correction, WE are gonna have a lot to listen to. Thanks again everyone!! Keep em coming! And while I'm here.... what other songs have bass that hits like Put On by Young Jeezy? That song makes my eyes jiggle!
  7. Cool deal.... I'll give em a spin. Thanks! Mine too.... Bullet For My Valentine seems to be his favorite. All Shall Perish has some BRUTAL double kicks that seem to rival some of the rap bass. Give them a listen if you haven't! I'll check out The Browning.....never heard of them. Thanks! Yeah, I had no idea Thrift Shop was as dirty as it was until I heard it on Slacker....wow! Haven't had any luck with Will Smith's tunes, lol..... but I'll give Hoodie Allen and Jake Miller a whirl. Thank you sir! Christian rap is one of the last bastions of "kid friendly" lyrics nowadays. You're pretty much right on that..... On it....Thanks! Ya know....not a bad idea. I've played and heard every type of music, exept that. Always sounded good in church... why not??? What's good? This is a pretty good compilation disc to get you started. Here is another. Thanks for the links! I'll check em out tonight. Oh yeah....LL had some pretty good ones. The ones you named are the ones that I remember listening to back in the day. But it seems that a lot of their recordings just didn't have a lot of bass (or decent sq for that matter). I played Run DMCs King Of Rock the other day and was like....huh???? lol... Forgot Kurtis Blow though, I'll have to throw him on my presets. Thanks!

  9. Dude......THAT'S what I'm talking about! The one I have is nothing like that. Shoulda checked him sooner. Thanks for the info!
  10. Forgot about them.... I've heard a couple of their tunes before. Next on the list... Thanks!
  11. Got it...gonna check it in a few. Thanks!
  12. On it...thanks again man!
  13. Lol. I would if my radio reception was actually worth a damn.... that's the weakest point of my system.
  14. I have one of his remixes.."The Glow". Nasty bassline that makes the ear hairs tingle! I'll check some of his other stuff. Thanks!
  15. That's what I've been doing..... but I know there's gotta be some groups out there that have some nice sounding bass without all the expletives. It's been twenty years since ANY rap was played in a vehicle of mine, so I'm WAAYYY outta touch with any of the new stuff. I'd hate to have to break out some Kid N Play on my little man.
  16. Nooooooo... not at all! I love my heavy rock and metal, but now that I have something that actually hits the lows, I've found myself listening to a lot of rap and dubstep.

Check the ssa store. I liked the incriminators. Ok....my bad. The pics for the IAs didn't show the tweets or crossovers, but I see in the description that they are included. Wish I could find some locally to check out....

Ok... so when I started this build, it was on a budget and kinda rushed along. My hearing isn't that great anymore after years of drumming in a metal band, so I didn't want to go too far. My current setup is powered by a Kenwood amp pushing 40x4 and 300x1 at 4ohm. I really love it....but since installing these 2 Dcons, my front stage just ain't hangin. Let me say.... I can't imagine some of these setups u guys have. These 2 Dcons are bangin on only 300. Plenty for me, with my hearing loss and all. I'm running Polk db651's front and rear, with Kicker 4" in the dash off the head unit. Think going the bridged route at 100x2 would be better, and lose the rears...since they barely exist now anyways. What would be a good fit for me? 2004 Scion Xb....

I'm guessing you're running the SPR-60Cs? I see a lot of good reviews on those. That's definitely in the budget range...... I'll have to check out a set at one of the shops. Thanks for the input! You would be gussing correct!! Chek them out and see what you think. I definitely will.... just remembered that a coworker put a set in his Tundra. I'll be hitting him up for a true in-vehicle demo. Thanks again!

    Crescendo component sets coming soon.

Just curious as to whether you ever got these in. Looking at those myself and would like some first hand opinion on how they sound.

Check the ssa store. I liked the incriminators.I saw those....and they look nice, but I was thinking more along the lines of a set with the tweets and crossovers. Anyone tried the Crescendo CZ set? Those and the Skars are all I see here in my range. Or should I purchase tweets and mids separately?

Yeah, that's the plan. I bought all my speakers based on customer reviews off of Amazon.com. I really don't know why those Polks got such great reviews, unless I'm losing a lot by not deadening the doors. Didn't think I'd need that with only 40 watts, but those Kickers in the dash seem louder on just the 17 from the hu. Guess I should try that first, since I'm sure I'll need it when I do bridge the amp. But what are some good 100 watt component sets you guys have been happy with in the $100-150 range? Might could stretch 200, but that's pushing it.
