  1. bump, level 3's or 4's for direct swap in 6.4FT^3 @ 30 Hz wired at 1.34 ohms on a saz-2000d

What are the dimensions of that port? Looks kinda small for over 6 cubes.

The box is 35" W x 14.5" H x 27" D and the port is 2" W x 13" H x 7.25" L, which equals to 6.416 ft^3 @ 30 Hz. Maybe it just a picture that doesnt even come close to the true size of what it does look like, i thought you had a suggestion. I do know how to build and measure boxes at the least. thanks for your concern

Well it's just that you are only using 1/3 or 1/4 of the port area that most companies recommend. And I've used DC lv4s and lv4xls so I like where your headed with the sub choice.

Here's what I mean with the port area:

Your port is 13'' x 2'' which equals 26 square inches of port. Most companies recommend 12-16 square inches of port PER CUBE. So since you have 6.4 cubes you should use a minimum of 77 sq in of port (6.4 x 12).

If I were you I would get a new box built for 2-12s and go with 2 lv4s on the 2000d.

  2. That looks loud haha

A couple people with setups that do 150.xx that have sat in it have guessed it's around 145-147 but I haven't gotten it metered yet.

Just realized I put the same vid twice. Here's another one.

  3. Looks real good man. I wish my truck would allow some 18s in my blowthrough, haha.

Do you not have a substage anymore?

I must not have updated my sig. I have 2-12'' LV4s on a 3000d. I just ordered a 12'' LV4XL a couple days ago and will be ordering a second one soon and stepping up to a 5k amp. Here's a couple vids of what's in it now.

  4. I don't think you'd have enough height to do that?

    Height 45" Width 52" depth 56"

    Nuff said

You're right...you've said enough. So are you going to do this or just talk to us about your dreams?

I gotta have it and i will get it sooner or later.

Hopefully sooner! That would be a crazy daily setup.

  6. I would try and contact phil from woodlawn cabinetry. I've seen a bunch of builds of his for under the seats of trucks and they're amazing. His username is Mr Cabinetry. I had a 10'' lv4xl and I did a 1.7@36 and a 1.5@40 and both were real loud and got real low even with the higher tuning. I'm not sure on the airspace of your box but if it's well over 2 cubes I would use a slot port to take up some volume inside the box but if it's under 2 cubes you can get away with a single 4'' aeroport.

  7. Since you included fiberglass in your box description, here's a picture of my enclosure. It's made to go behind the seats of a regular cab Dodge 1500. I can't remember the outside box dimensions, but it can mount up to 11.25" deep. It's around 2.5 cubes after all displacements, has a 6" aero port tuned to 34 hz. And I can still fold up my center console when I need that center seat. If you have any other questions about the box don't be afraid to ask. And btw, it shakes everything in my truck apart and it's very loud. Of course with using a 6" aero, the only way to face it was to the side.

That's definitely one of my favorite reg cab setups of all time.

  8. I'm from charlotte nc... And as far as my truck I just wanna go all out.. I just went out shoppin and bought 26s for her and redoing my interior on saturday.. And I know I need to do more research on every thing.. Big jon what does sundown have comin out? I was lookin into the aa subs but I can't find prices anywhere or where to order so I'm kinda sketchy... I did look at the nightshades I just thought the dc or fi was better.

You can pm ndmustang to find the closest aa dealer to you...definitely don't be nervous about buying from them though. I've owned fi, dc, sundown, and they all make great products. I would contact someone from each company and tell them what your goals are and how much room/power/budget you have and let them suggest something for you. Then just make a choice and stick with it and don't guess yourself. With that much money and power and cone area you are most definitely going to be loud as hell.

  9. Oh ok. I got it now. That's only with aero ports though right. I'm assuming regular pvc ports wouldn't need a large depth since they dont have the large diameter. I'll either go with a pvc port or more likely a slot port.

The benefit of aeroports is that they reduce port noise by alot which allows you to get away with running a smaller port. If you can fit a slot port I would definitely go with that.
