I know how you feel man. I've never been able to cut weight, whether it was to make weight for football when I was 11yrs old or just for the hell of it like I'm doing now. I'm 5'8'' 195lb and I work out 4-5 days a week and do cardio and everything and can't lose a pound, but I do more of a muscle gaining workout. Even when I was playing college baseball and we had rediculous conditioning in the off-season I couldn't lose weight for anything. I guess you just have to find something that works for you though, but don't give up now!

There's a shop in Effingham called Crush's that I popped into one day when I was bored. The manager seemed pretty cool. I wonder if they'd be interested.

Screw holes are plugged in that oak box.I think it sounds great on all kinds of music- nice and punchy for the kick in rock music and low and fat when playing rap
-Drew
Agreed. I'm really enjoying it so far and I know it will only sound better once it breaks in further. I'm already thinking about picking up another one and a whole lot more power and doing a blowthrough in my ranger. If only I was rich, haha.

Nice box, what is the box being held together by I don't see screws from here...Also how do those DC subs sound, are they just for SPL?.. My friend is picking up some lvl 2's i believe.
I think the lv4xl sounds great so far. As good if not better than my 10'' BL, and it isn't even close to being broken in yet. I know the BL isn't known for sounding good but in my opinion it was a great daily sub...hope that helps.

I need more power
Yesssir you do
We have an mmats 4000.1 on each woofer at 1ohm+rise
-Drew
Sweet setup you got there. If I had the room I would have gotten a much bigger amp but rangers are tiny. I can't wait to get another vehicle...too bad it won't be for at least a year probably.

How much do these woofers cost...? I've searched online but found nothing...beefy looking little fella....
Send "RustyWCA" a message. The price may vary depending on where you live due to shipping but it cost me $350.

what you running for power? i plan to get 2 dual 2ohm xl10's and run off an atomic 5000.1 2ohm daily .5ohm burps. should get loud in a small hatch.SAZ1500d. That setup should get REAL loud in a hatch. I'm really impressed with how nice it sounds so far, I can't wait to get it broken in.

any tl numbers? Not yet, I just finished putting it in last night. I'm hoping to get it metered sometime this spring. But I might try out a new box design first.

My ranger is setup the exact same way as yours, just not as fancy...haha. The lv4xl is behind the passenger seat and the 1500d and 100.2 are behind the driver seat, except my ports are firing up. I want to fire to the side like you are but I was concerned that the port would be too close to the amps. But now that I see you're doing it I'm going to give it a try....when it warms up, haha.

I like it.Don't you HATE though how you have to remove the seats to get ANYTHING done in Rams?
I couldn't tell you how many times I've taken the seats out of my ranger. Regular cab trucks are a pain. But that looks fantastic man, great job. How do you like it compared to the BL so far?

The recent thread about the LV510 made me want to show off another one of DC's beefy 10's, the LV4XL

^ bangs in an Altima, haha.

This is for a ranger, right? If so I'll be watching this very closely. I'm wanting to try a blowthrough this summer...good luck man.

Yeah I mean with that much power you wouldn't need 3 cubes per sub. Try and aim for 2.5 cubes each with 1200 or so per woofer after displacements.

Main differences b/t a LV4XL and LV5?

From my short time with the lv4xl I'd say the 1500rms rating is VERY conservative. I even have it in a box much larger than recommended and it's wanting more than the saz1500 I have on it. I'd say if you have 1000-1500w get a lv4, 1500-2500 get a lv4xl or lv4 w/lv5 coils, 2500+ get a lv5.
