Im just wondering. In my next van build, i should just order some boss or wolfenhags or somthing to test with? Sure, any subwoofer can be loud in the correct enclosure. Don't make me go and dig up the 150db video with Sony Xplode 6x9's. Yeah, I wanna see that video too. hehe me too

for the record subs dont push wattage they take wattage and as said before they are rated at 1000rms but will take more if properly done. a 2000d is a great match for this subs all you would need next is a nicely made box right i knew that i just said it wrong. so i can get a used ported box off craigslist tuned to 33hz i know nothin about custom enclosures so enlighten me if it will work or not. or what will work we would need to know what kind of car you have. and icons would perform excellent in a box 4 to 4.5 cubes tunned to 29 to 34 hrz with between 60 to 70sqin of port. but again we would have to know your max dims of you car itself. i drive a 05 nissan altima. and i have no idea what the max dim is. so how do i find out? thanks a tape measure is you best friend and i can measure on up got one in the front yard right now although it will have to be later i got to go to work in a bit. im sure you can fit 2 12s in that trunk properly. if you have any further qs you can pm me or email mark i wil be gone from the comp for about 45mins be back

ok if you can get 5 cubes with 80sqin of port tunned to 32 hrz that should be around what your looking for thier are plenty of box builders on here that do great work should check them out

i was speaking of icons but if you want to go xcon i say go for it although a 2000d would make them laugh.. xcons are rated at 1750rms but will take 2k im sure if done properly and in proper enclosure will get loud and low.. what subs does your buddy have it will help make a better comparison and what car do you have

would you rather fix it yourself or buy it fixed?
sound=vibration replied to cockeyed00's topic in General Fi
i would recone it for saftey.. if the coil is out of alighment it will be a nighmare in the end -
if thats the route you feel like taking i say go for it.. i have never used aq myself maybe someone else will chime in that has

cone area does when it comes to output in theory a 15 is louder than a 12 off the same power with the same motor ect... but there are alot of variables that have to be taken into account. in this case i would go with a 15 in 4 cubes tunned to 33 hertz... should be louder in the end
-
http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/store/p...%7B47%7DD2.html if you could fit a 15 you can go that route for a couple extra bux.. in a nice ported box i think you would like the sound as well as the output

whats it do rms
-
how mcuh power do u have..
-
lol ... And what do you mean by chosing subs beacause of thier price tags...
-
What can i add?
sound=vibration replied to k_schutte's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
joking right -
i think my avatar says it all... i am a SSA person myself and will continue to stick by ssa i would go xcon if i were you here is a quote and gtis are one of the most acoustically accurate subson the market "really digging these subs I seriously think these Xcons are really comparable to the differential drive JBL Wgti subs for tightness and accuracey.....they just hit 4X harder....LOL"
-
lol no there is a suck thing as being loud as hell and sounding good. whats not possible is having a true sq setup thats hitting a 150. take ssa for instance the subs are geared torward sound quality first but still have major output so you can sound good while getting loud.
-
do u want to be loud as hell or would you like to sound good while doing so
-
lol i think mark maybe cooking something up

i would love to test a xcon and a xxx head to head ... x2 I have seen some xxx tuned extremely low. How do the xcon's perform in boxes tuned very low. lets say from 25 to 30 hz???? sweet spot seems to be around 27 to 32 lol so very good.. i want to do one in 20hrz for fun... they are low and i mean lowend monsters
