HOW DID I MISS THIS?! Awesome build man, the breast cancer theme is tits, pun intended! Really great to see someone supporting a good cause with amazing work!
Thanks got blood sweat and tears into this thing! I cant wait to finish it. I maybe putting off the turbo setup for a bit I am looking to buy me a truck so I can just go nuts with this thing! If I get the truck this is getting caged and going to try to squeeze in 4 tens with the back seats folded down.
We will see.

Ok here we go I finally sat down to upload some pics here for an update. Hope you guys enjoy. Other things planned for this week are a alarm and maybe finish up the interior. If all goes well I will be installing my stereo next week!
If there is any Alternator guys out there that want to get on board with this pm me a price on a H.O. alt for 92 Honda civic!!!
Ok here we go.!!
Abra ca dabra brake lines be gone!!!
Getting lost in tucking the engine harness
Wiring up the injectors!
Got bored with the wiring so I painted and bolted on my headers. DC 4-2-1s with a carb stamp!
Yummy! Painted the timing cover gloss black!
Ok back to lame ass wiring again!
Wait time for some more wiring.
For some reason I feel like I have already mentioned wiring.!
Hmm maybe a little more wiring.
Still not finished with the wiring!!!
This is were I got fed up with the wiring and we are going to fast forward a few days!!!!!
BAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!
She's in also got a new slave cylinder, new clutch master cylinder and if I didn't mention it earlier brake master cylinder....
Side shot!
Another angle
Notice the slim fan here....
I really hate my intake but it will do for now... Its getting turbo charged so it will disappear soon enough.
Just another one...
I needed to get away from the engine bay. I was going nuts with all my time and effort going into and still having so much more to do...!
Onto the interior it was!
Dirtiness everywhere!!!
Here you can see the back half of my interior is blue. I already switched the dash, door panels, and center console to black so it was time for the rear half...
So I tore out the back seats, and the back tailgate cover.
As you can see these panels were pretty beat up.
Here are the black panels. They are not perfect but way better than what was in there. When I come across mint ones I will switch them out again.
The other side.
Tail gate cover and all the misc. little covers too. That's hard to find on hatch backs here in Phoenix for some odd reason.
Cleaned and armoralled up.
See now it matches.... This was when I noticed part of my counsel is blue! you can only see it in pics lol... Time to search for a black one.
Started cleaning up the front. Here is my thrashed ass rear seat that is going to be ditched for some leather seats when I finaly get my hands on some. The only ones are 1.5 hours away at the moment.
Back seats in and tailgate shut.
One of daddies babies.
A new Steering wheel and short locking hub are to come shortly. I hate my current setup but it was all I could afford back when I got it.
My SI seats that a due for a shampooing.
Lol she said she was going to the store... "Hey bring me back a soda will ya!"
So started with a stock insert for the back.
Wrapped it up nicely to match the front!
MMMMM!
In she goes!
Here is what it looks like from the side. I also did the other side I just don't have pics at the moment.
I was bleeding the brakes so I took a quick picture of the rear suspension setup. Currently I am running skunk2s with tockico blue shocks adjustable camber kits up top on a full GSR rear Integra disc brake setup!
Shitty photo but out for my first cruise 0 miles on the engine at this point. I currently have about 450 on it now. She has some power for a single cam. easily hit 90 before the end of an on ramp shifting and 5krpms. My redline is 7.5krpms so there is a lot more locked away. I have yet to hit my Vtec crossover which I have my computer setup to engage at 5.5krpms.
Now this next picture was a proud moment for myself. ABC 15 new decided to come out and shoot some footage of the car! They loved the breast cancer theme and thought it was crazy a 21 guy was driving around with a Pink engine bay and what not. The car is no were near don't but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to have something I have built with my own two hands broadcasted on T.V.
I am awaiting a copy of the footage when I get it I will be sure to post it.
Crappy Ipod pics.
Enjoy all and tune in for updates. The car will be headed out to shows here in AZ soon.

Ok here is an update. Brake line tuck is almost done. It is a pain in the ass! I will try to finish that today as well as assembling the engine and then Thursday after work try to set her back in her final resting spot.
Pulled out the clutch lines
.
Started the line going through the driver fender instead of it running across the firewall and through the hole bay.
Through the fender this is where I started bending to go through the core support.
Ran it along the frame rail and to the front of the car.
Behind the headlight.
.
Through the front of the core support, here the is a proportioning valve.
Went all the way through and around the reservoir bracket.
Test fit with my ugly ass radiator..... Don't worry I have a new one to replace this ugly thing.
Another angle.
Cut a whole in the grommet to fit the new line.
MMMMM Yummy.
This is after I pulled all the brake lines. I have since ran two of the 6 although it wont look much different then it does here as everything is tucked behind the firewall with the proportioning valve on the passenger side. It is out of the passengers leg reach and should be no problem.
Got this beauty back from the machine shop!
She got a mill. Valve job, Cleaning, and valve seals done.!
Lovely.!
Oem Goodness here. All new head bolts!
Yummy.
MMMM. Head gasket love.
All ready to go.
Bottom of the head.
Head is torqued down cam set in place with a new cam seal.
Tore the manifold apart and cleaned it inside and out. TB, all the runners and lines. for brake in I will run these injectors but will be switching to 450cc injectors and a aftermarket fuel rail and pressure regulator when turbo goes on.
Lubrication is key
More lube. Almost looks like were getting ready for some anal action. LOL
All together just need to set the valve lash.
Slapped on the Vtec solenoid and my freshly painted intake manifold.
Timing is set and ready to put the covers on as well as the crank pulley.!
My valve cover will be polished out and I will get another one that I will be painting Breast cancer awareness pink with "I <3 Boobies across the front.
Almost there. Got to bolt up the Tstat housing. Already put the Distributor on just not pictured. Slap on the clutch and flywheel, clean up the trans and bolt that sucker on and in she goes.!
I picked this gem up off of a friend for a steal. He needed cash, just needs some clean up.
Blackworks Radiator all aluminum, Silicone hoses, and a Slim fan should go well in the bay. Again I need to clean it up and the hoses will eventually be changed to Pink silicone hoses.

I really like the amp rack! Clean!

I knew you would chime in.
I like all the build pis!
How much power at the wheels are you expecting ?
I am shooting for 200hp as I didn't go with forged internals and would bend rods toward 250hp. Not to mention this is just my get me by engine. I have a H22A out of a Prelude with an LSD trans that I will be building over the next year that will later take its place. I will also be using the same turbo on it and be shooting for a high horsepower goal. At 200hp it will also be an awesome daily driver and should put me at low 13s or really high 12s on the 1/4.
I have a Cannon Xsi I love documenting everything I do to my car so I end up with a ton of pictures .
Looks great!
Although its a shame to do all that work and use a fram filter.
Just a mock up I had laying in the garage. K/N will be going on. Its not even tightened down to be honest. I just needed something in place to Aid in my engine harness tuck and for some reason I have about 7 unused fram and stp filters. Not to sure where they came from.
On a side note I am uploading pics, I started my Brake line tuck. WOOOOT

Where are the pics man. Nice start.

Looking good man!
So if I need any engine work done, I'll contact you?
Thanks. Lol feel free. Just hope you don't mind the drive from Phoenix to Tucson.

t
Bottom end is pretty much complete. Excuse the mess around it.
Just another quick shot.
Finally painted and rotated the booster 180 degrees. Also notice a leak in the master cylinder and did want to risk ruining the paint and ended up getting a new one.
Just another angle.
A storm came through so its a little dirty but brackets are glossy black as well.
.
Trying to get the head all finished up this week so I can get it back on the road. Work is demanding a lot of time at the moment so we will see how things go.

Ok here is an update. I have just about competed the bottom end of the engine. Camera dies so I will pull some of the pics off my ipod unfortunately I wasn't able to take a lot of picture due to the camera being dead. Anyhow here ya go.
Npr Rings!
MMM. 1st 2nd and 3rds
Checking piston ring gap. It takes forever, don't mind the surface rust on the water jackets it wipes right off.
The pistons
Bearings and Thrust washers
Nicely balanced crank.!
Crank Girdle before its cleaning
Key to a good rebuild is to bag and organize all the parts and bolts that will get reused. Here are my Girdle bolts.
Crank girdle is cleaned up and bolts.
Another shot.
All girdle bolts in place making sure all the threads are in good working order.
Plasti-gauge time.
Torque time.!
Why I had an empty ice chest on the floor is beyond me.
Girdle came back out..
After checking the plasti-gauge and cleaning it up I lubed all the journals and slapped the crank back in just to remove it another two times.!
Crank.
Here are the first two pistons being put in.
Called it a night and got some corona since I am finally old enough to buy beer WOOOt.
Old oil pump!
Oil pump bolts.
Prepping the gasket surface.
Oil pump on. Ripped the front seal thank god I had an extra so pulled it and put another new from main seal. Also started cleaning the water pump area.
New water pump.
MMMM. Pump goodness.
Both mated up to the block.
Oil pickup. Extremely hard to clean due to all the old metal in it.
Cleaned up and ready to go.
Bolted in now.
Took out the old rear main seal/
not sure where the finished pic is but it is on now
Didn't bother deep cleaning the outside of the oil pan as I will be replacing it its all banged up. However I deep cleaned the inside.
It is a lot further along now I will get some more pictures here soon.
This is my little brothers Civic we are also working on. It is also our parts getter at the moment

Picked it up from the machine shop!
Yup Yup. The whole roatating assembly was balanced. This is the Crank.
Arp Goodness!
Machine shop hooked me up with a Free shot peening and resizing of my rods. They also wieght matched all 4.
NRP rings and all new gaskets, oil pump, water pump, bearings, and timming componets.
Some more balanced goodness. My Crank pulley and Presure plate and flywheel. Dont mind the old pistons in there.
On the stand.
Sprayed with high temp silver.
Primmed ready for gloss black paint.
Anodized oil cap I may use. Matched my NRG bolts.
I am trying to start the assembly on the engine today. If I do check back for pics.

A lot of work going into that thing, nice job so far.
Yup lots of sleepless nights and long days at work. Oh and my nagging kids while im trying to work on it. Thanks
respect! clean build/s
Thanks
Love the engine bay. Took me about a week to do a full wire tuck on my EF
Thanks, probably have about 12-16 hours into wire tucking. Very difficult to keep everything and still tuck it all including ac woot. AZ is hot.
Update here shortly check back

Heres a few pics of the Relocated fuse box. My car never had a passanger air bag so I set out to find a dash with a passanger air bag so I could remove it and use the space for my fuse box. So here it is. I still need to make the bracket to hold it in place but it is all wired up and ready to go!
Looks blue due to the flash but it is black as you can see it dirty as hell from sitting for about a month now. Notice the top left where the air bag is! of and excuse the steering wheel it is gonna be switch out to a NRG wheel and a shorter hub.
Another shot
This is the top removed
Here is the fuse box. I did have to modify it a small bit so it would fit but to get it to where it is now I cut no wires only depinned and untangled them from the stock harness one by one and reorganized them. I then re ran them with the dash removed and whalaaa.
My removable steering wheel.
Here are 3 of the 6 plugs I depinned and re ran to the center of the dash. From there the engine harness will come through the firewall and connect into these completly hidden from sight in the engine bay.
Im tracking down the pictures of me doing the actual wire tuck it was like have a lap full of spagettii.
Another pic of the bay. Installed the cruise control delete groumet as well as all the other black plugs and grouments and the windshield washer delete plug. I just need to order the two block off plates for the holes behind the shock towers. Other things going on this week will be the removale of the brake booster so I can paint it gloss black and rotate it 180 degrees so I can hide the vaccum line better.
Got a set of these comming for the fender and front bumper!

Yes, we need to have rear foglights in order to pass technical inspection.
Well we have a lot of complete hondas for sale. Interior and body parts. Shipping price is probably hammer.
I would be more intrested in certain parts ex the fog lights and things of that nature. No need to ship over a rust bucket I can find one of those in California, No pun intended. Let me know if you are intrested in working something out. People here in the states go crazy for autentic Euro and Jdm parts!

Welcome Im from phoenix as well. Check out the build log and if you ever want to hear some SSA subs in person I am your man. Done countless installs with them!!!!

Saw your thread, awesome car! I have owned 2x 4th gen civic like yours they are fun to drive and getting quite rare.
Well i will use euros to explain... i work about 170hrs in month and i get paid around 400 euros. My winter electricity bill is 120 euros that will leave me 280 euros, internet, trash, phone, television, insurance are 70 euros that leaves me 210 euros. Gas for car is 100 euros in a month.. 1 liter is about 1,339 euros. So im left with 110 euros. I spend about 40 for lunch.. takes me down to 70 euros.. also hygiene products and so on..... so it is very hard to save some money for woofer, that's why i dont know my budget for woofer. But im also not giving up
Oh and the alpine type r i want to get is 259 euros...
Do you guys have rear foglights where you are from. I do alot of work on Hondas maybe you can make some extra cash importing me some parts that are harder to find out here in the states. Ex. Rear foglight, Interior options, things of that nature. Let me know if you have the time I dont mind helping ya out with cash.

Long ride indeed my friend, that I am sure of.

I'm just more so asking what new component sets have matured and shown higher performance compared to what I currently have. As in, are my component set's inferior to an equal value set.
So let run through a few things here.
Fill in the blanks
Speaker location?
Tweeter location?
On axis or off axis?
Active or Passive?
Processing?
Maybe altering your current setup will yield better results than just trying to throw a bunch of budget products in its place. A good deal of response change will come from deadeding, if your going to throw another setup together with out making any other changes you can end up with another horrible sounding setup or something that is not up to par. Alot will come from the qauility of install and if Sq is a priority maybe you may benifit from kickpods or moving the location of your current drivers. If you are hell bent on changing your setup you will need to set a budget, and answer alot more questions. Hope that helps.

Have you ever thought about doing smoked gray wood grain. It would look awsome in there.

Awesome Ride ... Cool pics !!!
Thanks alot more to come trying to finish the car by Aug so I can save for a RHD hatch.

Thanks. More comming! keep your eyes peeled.
Tuned in! Nice Eg.
Thanks I love me EG!

So some back story I bought the hatch back my senior year of highschool with the intentions of making a loud daily driver setup and ended up getting real involved with build car mainly Hondas. I always helped with other builds but was never able to do what I wanted to mine until now. I did end up getting my setup together as far as audio but the hatch was never what I really wanted it to be. Recently I have become a single man and around the same time I was promoted at work and now make enough to redo my hatch while still providing for my two daughters. Basically I am doing this now because I finally can!! I have been out of the scene entierly too long and I am back now. Hope some of you around here remeber me haha. Keep in mind I have done everything to this car with my own two hands. I has never seen a shop!!!
So here we go I cant find my old build on here but I will start fresh here. I have gone through 4 engines and now have decided I want reliability so this is the tear down. While I had the motor out and at the machine shop I wanted to liven up my engine bay. I was set on painting it a light tan and found out someone close to me had been diagnoised with breast cancer and decided what the hell pink it is.! Kinda of a dedication kind of deal. I got to work here are some pics.
This above was the tear down after I removed the engine. I dont have any picture of it but I completely tore down the ending I have spun a bearing in and it is currently at the machine shop. More on that later this week.
After hours of sanding and prep work. At this point I had also done a full wire tuck re-routing all the headlight wiring, turn signals, ac, brake fluid level sensor, engine harness wiring as well as the whole engine harness, and wiper motor wiring has all been taken out of sight and yes everything is still completly functional.
Preping and shooting her with primer. It is a pain trust me fingers were raw by the end of the night.
Holy batman pink! My nieghboor is a painter and helped me shoot the actaul paint it self Lots of fun cant wait to do the exterior!!!
here I put the bumper headlights and fenders on, I already have new replacements for them but I am keeping them off until I paint the exterior in a month or two.
This is everything that will be under the hood minus engine and tranny everything else is relocated or hidden.
Still need to remove the brake booster and paint it gloss black. It is in horrible shape at the moment. I am also going to re-route all the brake lines and position the prop valve in the interior of the car, the battery is relocated to the rear of the car now and the under the hood fuse box has been relocated under the dash. Ill get pics of that when I start messing with the interior some more.
As of now I am waiting to pick up the Block which is a D16y8. I had it bored and shot peened the rods with arp studs pressed on and resized, it also has been jet cleaned, decked and honed. I already have my master rebuild kit in the garage as well as brand new pistons, water pump, oil pump, and every single gasket. The rotating assembly was also balances as this is going to be TURBO charged after break in.!!! I promise pics of the engine as soon as I get it from the maching shop and I will also take pictures as I assemble it.
MARK I need a pink SSA sticker for the Firewall. I will also be getting breast cancer awareness banners air brushed onto the shock towers!!!
Things I have done that I dont have pictures of
Integra GSR rear disk break setup already installed with sway bar
All new bushing in the suspension
New ball joints
New inner and outer Tie rods
New pads rotors and calipers all the way around
Steel braided brake lines
Skunk2 adjustable coil overs
Tockico blue stuts
Front and Rear adjustable camber kits
Front Sway bar kit
Rear beaks tie bar
Full dash swap
All the interior has been changed to black interior minus the rear hatch plastics. I am still trying to find decent ones.
I also have new carpet for it that I have not installed
00 si front seats
Integra rear seats
I promise picture of all this as I go through this build.
Plan is to have the car back on the road in about 3 weeks as this is my daily driver.
So when it comes to audio muahahhahahahahaha.
I have everything except the tweeters I want.
My setup consist of
2 Icon 12s
1 Audio pipe 3kd
1 Kicker 400.4 dx I belive is the modle number
4 AA Audio Carbon 7in mids
Two fiberglassed kick pods
and two kicker Tweets
all of it has been pulled out of the car while I redo the interior
This was when I made the kick pods about a year ago. Excuse the dash it is long gone now.
.
And here she is a few years ago I did a photoshoot with her in it. She needs some body work now lol!

its simple if you dont get the topic or that im looking for builds that use a 18" subs, how in the hell do you not know what a king cab truck is , do i have to provide a definition for a king cab truck and 18" subs since the slow ones done konw letters and words , or a sentence
I was gonna post a nice wall setup I did in a friends truck but you ruined that with this post. I suddenly forgot what a king cab truck is now. Can you please provide me with the info. Thanks
Good luck with the thread

You should have lied and said you dropped a carton of eggs! Or you were consuming raw eggs on your way to the gym and spilled your cup! Anything outside of egging. I just hope they deserved it and it wasn't a random egg toss at people. I had that happen to my car once and it ruined my paint!!!
Carpet cleaner and if that doesn't do the trick get the carpet shampooed.
