hey so i want to build an aeroport enclosure for a fi ssd 12 @ 33 hz and i have no idea if this graph is good or not. this box is 2.5 cubft and also i want to use a pvc port but i only have a 6inch pvc pipe at 15 inches in length and for what i need i will need a 21 inch long port for 6 inch port but i have also have a 4 inch pipe that i only need around 9 inches in length so im thinking about using the 4 inch but not sure if that will give me enough port area and not choke the sub. so can anyone tell me if this graph is good or is it too peaky at the 33hz point and if this is too much of a peak how can i make the tuning of the box more flat?

Another question I have is what is the difference between custom car audio subs and home audio subs as in driver comparison not enclosures? Since I kno for a home audio application I would need a lager volume box and lower tuning for a cinematic setup and a regular size box with a tuning around 33hz for home and car audio music setups correct? Oh and a comparisons of all types drivers , as in the differences between home car and marine audio drivers(sound performance comparison, Not comparison in durability as in marine audio is just waterproof)?

Also I am building two enclosure one for music and one for home theater so information on both applications please ... Oh and would a Fi Car Audio X (what I have just laying around) or any other good car subwoofer work in a home audio setup? That question being said are car subs an home subs the same?

Are all they designed by the same person?

So they r all basically all the same?
They are built by the same build house. Is The Fi X the equivalent to an SSA DCON?
I love theses type of subwoofers that Fi Audio , Ascendant Audio , SSA Audio makes ... They are all very similar are these brands related to each other?

I have a planet audio ac400.1d mono block amp and want a subwoofer around 1000 watts rms that's not to expensive .. I found an audiopipe txx bd3 12 for $147 and also saw a Massive Audio toro x 12 for $185.. Don't kno which one to get .. Should I just get the audiopipe or save a little more money up for the massive toro x 12?

I'm sure it's probably not a big deal but my my dad had accidentally barley scratched the surface of the surround of my sub and decided to put a bead of epoxy to cover it and I was kinda upset .. And also while removing my sub from the box my right hand had slipped and accidentally hit the dust cap .. Nothing was damaged because of the hard cap but will these effect my sub and should I worry about it or is it not a relaly big deal?
