  1. Just as an FYI since i work for a mtx dealer and have a rough idea of the product line up the Jackhammer line is a sub par line setup for only circuit city.

I thought so, I couldnt find them online anywhere. Thanks

    I vote BL. :)

    Thanks!

I keep telling a buddy of mine to go with Fi instead of a Circuit City MTX Jack Hammer Box with 2 12" subs.

Please give me some advice or videos for me to give him.

Fi BL 15" vs 2 12" Jackhammer series MTX subs.

I am giving him my Hifonics Bx1606d amp so he has power and he has room for both.

Any advice would be great. If you have a 15" Fi BL vid please show it off.

    Thanks.

Just tell him if he buys the MTX then he can't have the amp :P

HAHAHA, now thats a good idea!

  3. I left the amp at the same setting I had it at with my old 10" L7's. The amp is a little Hifonics Bx1605d, so I am underpowering this thing by a whole lot. Today I decided it was ok to go ahead and really let it knock and thats exactly what it does! Even with this amp. I am very impressed with the sub. Loud is an understatement!

    Videos are listed below.

My girl freinds younger cousins reaction. (Heard me 10" L7's the day before i got the BTL in the truck and said they were the loudest things hes ever heard.) Probably the first system hes ever heard aswell. I let him hear the BTL and then asked him how it was. Ignore my Girls singing in the beginning, she likes the song lol.

Quick flex vid. better one later. i was trying to beat the batteries because they were going to die.

comment if you want. Let me know what you think.

big thanks to Basshead for helping with my box!

  4. Probably be better off amp wise with a pair of SAE 1000ds either strapped or one wired to each coil. Cheaper, too.

Hate to bump an old thread.....

I saw in his sig that he wants a SAZ-3000D, which would only work at 2 ohms or 0.5 ohms (running at 0.5 ohms removes warranty, sure you probably knew that though).

Pair of SAE-1000D's or a pair of SAZ-1500D's strapped at 2 ohms would do nicely.

Whichever works best for his budget.

The SAE-1000D's would be easier on his electrical too.

    Hey,

Turns out I got a hold of Scott at Fi and he switched my BTL from D1 to D2 on the build slip. He said he did it himself but he left the shipping information as a D1 so im not sure how i can find out for sure except to take his word for it and wire it up at 1 ohm

Which means i can now use a 1 ohm setup. I still want to stick with my Sundown idea but i may got a different route if needed. I am worried about spending a ton since i have other priorities to deal with lately. but i have some things to sell aswell ;)

I learned how to wire it from a web page. great page too. heres the link:

    http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer_c...sp?Q=1&I=22

they have tons of good info there.

Sorry for the newbish questions. cant wait to wire my sub up and see what it sounds like.

    Thanks for the help

Nice, when you get the sub, you'll be able to use a DMM to check the ohm readings of each coil if ya want, just to be sure.

I have the sub. its sitting rite next to me now lol.

A DMM? i will probably need to take the sub somewhere to do that, and from the looks of things i am pretty sure the place around here will charge me an arm an a leg just to do that for me. They tried charging me $75 for a Raptor 4 gauge amp kit... found it on ebay for $35... dont like going to the place.

  5. shes hot as the day is long!

does anyone use dial up anymore?

lol thats a random question. why do you ask?

I was forced to have it about 6 months ago. we dont have the wires ran out here yet. im in the middle of no where... out in amish country

we have satalite internet now lol

    :D:D:D:D:D

pretty much everything's ready to install... just gotta buy some rca's and a small amount of speaker wire... i'm freaking excited

thank you fi for prompt shipment and great customer service

Fi has amazing subs everytime i see one it puts a smile on my face.

Good luck with yours man. make some vid when you get it wired up and share!

Im going to take some pics of my new BTL. forgot to post some one here.

  8. I just bought my fully loaded BTL 18 on the 4th. it got here in 10 days and im in Delaware. so coast to coast pretty fast.

I have yet to wire it up due to me recovering from surgery at the moment but the build quality is amazing. the spider is unbelievably stiff. Its really difficult to push the cone down.

I cant wait to wire it up and hear what i have been waiting for.

Scott is great on there too, switched the ohms of my sub at the very last minute. quick emails. qreat company and customer service but i will get back to ya on the product.

  9. im sure the first song is dude from d4l that raps the scotty song, but not sure of what it is

yea it sounds like it but there arent many words in it, if any. its kind of like moaning and then alot of lows.

laffy taffy has long long smooth lows even not being screwed and chopped.

moaning and lows, trillville some cut? whisper song? idk i thought of some cut just a second ago

Some cut it a good song, listen to it often. Its not it.

I think this song is quite old. I remember watching this vid a good 2-3years ago for the first time.

  10. you've posted this before, why dont you just take as much time as you did tto copy and paste the link, that you go read all the comments on the video and voila your answer is right in front of your face

.....Sorry. I wasnt sure if i posted this or not. I had just went through surgery this week, so I've been through alot.

Sorry to bother you...you really dont have to get ignorant.

The song is not what someone posted in the other thread of mine. It isnt a S&C of Laffy Taffy. This song barely has words and the beat changes to quickly to be Laffy Taffy.

It isnt in the comments of the video or i wouldnt be posting this here.

    ...Thanks though, I guess

  11. Isn't Alphasonik related to Audiobahn? I believe so.

    Why not look for a Kicker kx2500.1? It'll do over 2500w @ 2 ohms.

i can find one for less than $800 and no one seems to want to sell a used on in good condition...

i want to get a sundown saz3000d in the future but i screwed up thinking i could power the sub at 1 ohm.... so my Hifonics amp i have now isnt going to cut it until i can get the sundown. this thing seems to meet the RMS of the sub so i am hoping it will do the job until i can afford the sundown.

and because i can get this amp for like $350 i think...

  12. I have a good offer on one of these.

It seems to be a good amp but im not sure. To be honest i have never heard of it before.

My set up is going to be only 1 Dual 1 ohm Fully loaded Fi BTL 18".

My problem is i bought the Dual 1 option because i thought that i may get another in the future and with that i could have them wired at 1 ohm and be able to find a amp for a bit cheaper to give them power. what i didnt think of was the amp i was going to use in the time being...

i need the minimum of 2000rms at either 0.5 ohm or 2 ohms and this amp does 2000 at the 2 ohms...

Anyone have experience or anything i should know about this amp... i saw a reveiw of a different amp from alphasonik on Sonicelectonix.com that said his decided to catch on fire... literally...

Is it worth it and will it be good enough to last me until i can afford a bigger and better amp...

  13. Don't forget you can strap 2 amps together to get a stable 2 ohm output.

That option is not only cheaper usually but also can obtain more power than a 2500w amp as well.

2 AQ1200ds strapped together is just over 2,900w and just under $500 shipped.

i currently have a Hifonics Bx1605d, can i buy a 1606d and strap it to the one i already have?
