The Icon logo is cooler than the Fi and if I had to choose between the two, I'd get the Icon.I think the Fi logo looks sexier when its moving 27mm lol

What do you mean "good for SQ but gets loud"?

Dual 2 Ohm. Wire it parallel to 1 Ohm. SAZ 1500D will do 1500@1 Ohm.

LOL you ran more than 750 watts rms and your sub blew. who would have knew that would happen...40Hz is rediculously high for substage IMO unless you are competing. if he wants to really hit the highs, maybe he should consider midbass drivers. subwoofers are meant for lows.
If it was me, i would get an RE Audio 15" SX (1000W rms) or a Fi SSD 15 with BP option if you want to stay in the price range...

my sub is always cold in the morning, same with the amps, MICHIGAN HAS NOTHING ON ALASKA! only thing i dont like is that the enclosure blows out cold air lol.

4.6ft^3 so 4.3ish cubes after displacement. whats the tuning frequency?

ditch the cap. see what happens. Capacitors are useless and just add another strain to the alternator while you might as well have another battery IMO. How many whats(rms) total are you running? i had the same alternator and a similar battery on my silverado and ran 1kW no problem.

Your driver could also bottom out playing lower frequencies than the tuning of the port.

A H.O. alternator would help.

Yeah, i think both the SX and MT lines have 22mm Xmax. i know my SX 12 hits lows, but of course thats because of my box and truck.

Online shopping has put our local shops at risk lately haha. Everyone HERE IN ALASKA charges over retail prices. but lucky me that the owners of the shop nearest to me actually go on forums and whatnot.
JL is good solid product, just a little pricey.

My only advice is to not listen to DeepSubBoy.
Also, have you checked out (www.DCsoundlab.com) for DC woofers or RE Audio???(www.reaudio.com)
And last but not least; SSA! havent heard anything negative about any of there products yet (for the price) and i like the ICONs very much for my taste.

I saw a roll of 1/0 AWG for like 20 dollars on parts express on sale, i think it was only 20 feet or so. Welding cable is good too...makes you wonder what you are really paying for with "High End" cables.
Welding cable is a car audio hero.
