  1. I can build that design exactly.

$140 plus shipping. I would not be able to start on it till the 24 though as I have three enclosures to do this week and I will be out of town from the 19th-24th.

    Thanks, Andrew

Sounds good man, pm me your paypal address. Since it won't start till the 24th I might play around a bit and put a brace in for the port since my truck rides insanely rough it might need it. I might through two dowels in the design front to back as well. Whatever it ends up being to add those if you can just tack that onto the shipping I can take care of that when its done.

  2. Ok, here are the final plans with the .75" side indents included. Let me know if any of the measurements are hard to see/understand. I've got the centers marked for the sub and port cutouts. Sub cutouts at 7.25" and 4" aero cutout at 6.25". I believe those should be right. No wire terminals on this one please. You can either shoot me a paypal invoice to my forum name @ yahoo.com or pm me your paypal ID and I'll shoot some cash. Thanks!

  3. Well I think I got stuff situated to where it will barely fit. Not much room between the aero and the woofers but as long as the flare on a 4" aero isn't over an inch from flare to where it necks down to 4" tube I should be fine. Need to know how much you inset the sides though so I can account for that. Here is the new plan, once I get your inset specs I'll get you the final measurements and some paypal money, thanks:

  4. Sounds good, after triple checking I'm changing the dimensions just a bit to make sure I can have my seat pushed back with no problems. Was thinking:

    28w x 16.5h x 13 bottom depth x 6 top depth

With those measurements its getting tight with trying to cram a full size 4" aero and two sa8's in though. Mockin it up in sketchup now to see if that's even going to be possible. If you have other suggestions let me know

  5. Its for the back of a 09 Ram 2500 single cab. Pic below of what I've come up with. My sketchup skills suck unfortunately. Just a single 3/4 baffle and a single full length 4" aero. Subs forward, port to the drivers side (its on the wrong side in my crappy sketchup image.) If my math is right, counting .1 of displacement for each woofer I should be close to 1.5 net at 35hz:

    26.5w x 17h x 13.5 bd x 6 td

Let me know if you have any better ideas, or if not what you need for the below box in gray carpet shipped to 80634. Thanks!

  6. Yes I do still have some -- very limited supply... they FLEW out of here.

Thanks for the quick reply, money sent for 2. Going in the back of my single cab 09 ram. For somebody who listens to mostly rock, very little rap, and doesn't really care about the really low stuff what do you recommend. Small box would be helpful, available power won't be an issue.

  7. updates?

No updates yet. Its been below zero or in single digits since I got home. Today was the first day in the 20's for quite awhile. Since the truck doesn't fit in the garage it only gets worked on when its halfway warm outside :/

I need to pick up some more wire too, but will probably be waiting until after christmas to do that. I want to make sure I don't break the bank buying christmas presents before I spend more on myself.

  8. Right on, the dd's will definately be louder but I'm guessing these orphan 8's would sound leaps and bounds better. I really miss my rli-8's :(

If it wasn't so close to christmas time I'd think about picking some of these up...they look like fun for sure.

  9. I am the slowest person ever. Molasses in January > me

Anyhow, BJ finished the box, I'm headed out to get it next weekend, you can check it in his forum here. I got my two 1/0 negs and add'l 1/0 positive runs made. Got my bus bars situated (see below). At this point its to charging batts and connecting up wires. I'm going to wait to do that until after I pick up the box though.

Only things I should have left is to pull it all out to weld the support bracket in the middle of the frame and then bolt up some wires. I'm thinking about swapping my yellowtop d34 up front for a powermaster 2400 or 2700. The yellowtop with posts just isn't very fun when you want to start putting a ton of 1/0 runs on it cleanly.

Bus bars....thank god for metal jigsaw blades, hack sawing it would have sucked!

Tons o wire in the back of the truck now. Welding supplies 1/0 cable cutters and hammer crimper came in very handy this time, I should have picked those up years ago:

  10. Lookin good! Its tight fitting that much woofer on that little of surface area. Can't wait to give it a go.

I'm trying to think of any other boxes I might need in the future to grab on this trip to make the most of it

Luckily gas is cheap now so hopefully the trip won't be that expensive.
