  1. Thanks for the answers. They are Pioneer TS-W309D4s. For 50 each they perform great lol. They are now in a 5cuft box @ 34hz. Was wondering what they sound like @ 30hz but I guess I had a decent box as is. You think they would perform better in a 4cuft @ 32hz? That's the recommended area area but I like a little bigger boxes.

I don't care for sq at all plus they're in a big trunk. Only listen to rap & listening to rap highs give me a headache

Those aren't THAT bad, honestly I thought you were going to say much worse. Tune a bit higher and I think you'll be happier.

Yea I'm gonna try the 5cuft @ 34hz. My very first subs were an older model & I loved them. The best budget sub

  3. I was bored so I went & picked up 2 12s from a flea market this past weekend to experiment with. Made my first box throughout this week & tuned it to 32hz. If I wanted to tune it to 30hz would I add or cut off some wood to the end of the ports behind the subs? I can do the math but need a starting point. Also another separate question, would more port area equal a lower tuning or does it depend on the box?

  4. I am confused on the actual output of the IA line of subs since I have never heard any of them. What are the 187, LI, & DP subs comparable to? I think the LI would suit be best.

I want 2 to be run off a AQ1200D. I want the 15" model and will be put into maximum size enclosure (~8cuft) tuned to 33-33hz in an Explorer. Its early & put what I thought would be most useful. I am looking for just daily spl (mid to upper 140s). SQ not as big of a priority of mines right now. Any more info needed?

  5. Whats the website where I can look up the specs of the Dekas? I think im going to go with a Kinetik 2000 or 2400 if I get it at a good price in addition to my yellow top

u should get a single powermaster. it will cost u a lot less than a kinetik. i dont know about the dekas and how good they are as i have no experience with them. people rave about them tho as they are not that expensive and do work. i would also be interested to see the data sheets

    www.remybattery.com

Thanks yalll. It is a 130A. I dont think that would change much though. Which Deka do I get off the website because it looks so confusing and they have little specs. It looks like most of em are the same battery.

  6. ya a 135amp alt is already pretty beffy just get a new battery and see how it all works out! and if your system starts to have voltage issue then reconsider a bigger alt, or maybe get a missing link!!!

Sorry about the excessive comments but thats where im stuck at. If i might have to get a bigger alternator then why not spend the money that i would be buying a battery with on a alternator?

well you are asking if i am going to need a bigger alt in the long run why not just got a bigger alt! well how about lets look at this mathematically for a 2000rms setup at 1ohm your amp will need like 45amps. but 2000rms/12.8volts = 156amp draw! so if your alt puts out 150 you will be able to supply the demand.

is that correct or did i screw something up?

i will just get a big enough battery to support my system. right now my setup is 1 15inch ns 2- batcap 2000's and STOCK battery and STOCK alt (105) and a SAZ2000 pushing all it is worth. my lowest voltage i have read off of my stinger volt meter is 12.8volts at full tilt after playing a full song.

I have 2 Deka Intimidators with a stock 90amp alt and stock battery...with an SAZ3000D and 100.4 and I never go below 12.8 on a tone.
