  1. i don't know lol!! i jsut hook up the ground up first so the POWER has somewhere to go once you put the power in. but if you have no fuse in there is no power anywyas. as for the little sparks i guess they are coming from ground lol what else is hooked up lol! but i imagine i am so wrong on that and i know someone else will chime in tomrrow morning!! so just hang on for a few hours for a full answer on that!

    will do, thanks anyways

ur logic makes sense but im just makin sure

  2. and yes techinically speaking you should have one more fuse between the batteries BUT if your batteries are super close don't worry about it!

and remember we use fuse to be safe! if something were to happen the fuse would pop! and if you didn't have the fuses there the wire could catch on fire and potential burn down your car! which isnt' good!

damn man thanks for that pic. I know, I'll probably add it in later as time comes on. I ran out of wire. I had 50 ft of 2 ought wiring and ran out faster than I thought. I'll get more in time. I gotta make due with waht I have.

And the SPARK really concersn me. I thought thats what fries your amp? What happens if you hook up power wire then negative?

  3. UMM i am lost! (See that wasn't hard! llol)

so the RD 3250 is your amp! and those other 2 box's before the amp are batteries? i assume?

if so you are MISSING a fuse!

Yes the two in the back are batteries, sorry every1 ha.

I know it is recommended but I figured the 1 fuse was fine. Im fusing b4 the amp. I don't think anythings going to happen its all done pretty well.

When I get some more money I might add another if its really needed tho...

  5. Alright well earlier this year my headunit crapped out (stock ford explorer 2002 xlt) and wouldn't pull the cd in, the things that pull and eject the cd don't work. Then randomly it started working, and after getting my car repaired it stopped. So now my Bday is on sunday, and I figure I might as well get a new headunit.

I'm looking for a decent, affordable headunit. Near the 150$ dollar range I guess. More or less, Idk how much to be exact and I know I can't get that good of a headunit for that price but it should be better than nothing.

I'm looking for subwoofer rca output, preferably 4v preout or higher (idk, maybe 2v won't be that bad?), iPod Touch (1st gen) hookup and so I can play it through the headunit, and thats about it? Something fairly easy to use.

a Double din will fit my explorer, but I don't mind with single din or double.

    Help me out guys!

  6. Actually... they are ready to go and have been since I pulled things off the site... just havent had enough hours in the day to get things edited pic wise. We are running final day of TS params for long term test too. With family out of town as of tonight for vacation, Ill have a few more hours to get things done. Coding/logic for new options is done as well. New BL comes with the Pole Chamfer as standard and uses a copper coil as standard now to. Options of cooling, hyper-pole chamfer (extended pole chamfer for increased compression ratio for cooling and comes standard in the cooling package), flatwind coils, ELW is now standard too with 4 sets of leads like the BTL, and we are adding more logo color choices for the dustcaps as well (chrome, candy blue, candy red, engine turned aluminum, brushed aluminum, and fire).

Sub price goes up a little, but considering the motor is larger by a good amount, and the PC and ELW are included... its actually about the same with those options added in. Since we do more of them we can offer a better price. Shipping does go up a little too as the sub is almost 10 lbs heavier.

    Thanks,

    Scott

What did you guys decide to do with carbon fiber? I thought u said you were going to do that and chrome?

  7. invest in a stiffer suspension! haha

you know you're addicted to car audio when you max out the weight capacity of your car with only audio equipment

imo, i would just stick with the 15's

you're going to sell 2 great quality, SPL oriented subs (that im assuming for the most part you like)

to buy 4 subs you've never heard, never heard of, and have no one to vouch for their quality, and then hope they will be louder than your current setup....
