  1. Alright, so I messed up on my port. The port it skinnier and longer instead of wider and shorter. I have a BTL, and whenever it plays the lows, I feel like its not hitting them as hard as it should sometimes. I guess I don't know how its supposed to hit in the 30hz - 38 hz region. People say songs like Juice box will hit hard, and it barely hits hard for me it seems like... Same goes for some other low songs.

Here is a pic of the port in the box:

Here is the port that should be 33hz:

Here is the port now (the 21" measurement comes from the 22", I had to cut an 1" off to get it to equal the port opening on the back of the box):

Could someone tell me what this tuning would be?

  2. sounds good, i can do that. It sounded fine in the middle, but my bro was saying it sounded like it wasn't hitting right after i set it to 0. I'll change while playing and see.

I set my subsonic to a little bit higher than 15hz, i was hoping for around 20-25, couldn't be for sure tho (Why do amp makers do that?)

I set my LPF to hopefully around 80hz, yet again, can't see exactly which is gay.

  3. Phase is used to make your subwoofer play a certain note before your front speakers, so that the sound waves from all your speakers get to your ears at the same time.

So since i have sub up port forward (towards the trunk, right?) i would put it at 90? I thought it was the reversing polarity also but couldnt think of what I wanted to say.

and how would I go about setting it? Do i just sit in my drivers seat and have someone turn hte knob until it sounds good? or just to what I'm liking, correct?

  4. what subs are going in it? what are the specs? Looks awesome, any specific reason you went with a very long length?

Dont recall exact specs, Im sure Dylan or Duran can comment on that. On the length, did you mean port length, or depth of the box?

You can say both if you want, but I just meant the depth of the box.

Used the customers max dims to get the proper air space needed. Of courses, the long port is to get proper tuning.

phh dur lol. I wasnt thinking about max dimensions.

  6. 1 ohm has less resistance than 2 or 4 ohms, so it would be easier to produce more power, therefore with more power it would be louder.

    Correct me if I'm wrong.

  7. If the Tinsels are in plain view (ie, not in the spiders) you can fix it yourself with out a recone.

by soldering? I have a friend with some like burnt/ broken tinsels at the end at the speaker terminal and I would just like to know
