I am building a ported wall for 6 SA-15s and im having a hard time figuring out a good volume for the box. Its going to be a dailly driver so I want good sound tuned around 35hz. It will be ran off 2 2600w soundstream amps. I plan on listening to rap and bass tracks.

hey guys so i bought 2 15 bls last month and have installed them in a 9.5 cubic ft box with 102 sq inch port and have 2 amps at 1150 rms each going to them. for the first week it pound ed ma were i oculdnt even swallow. then just yesterday i brought it to a shop to get it db tested and hit a 150.9 with eas apparently says the guy. but i noticed after that the ext day t wasnt as loud to me or hit the notes as deep. did something happen to the subs or is it just my ears and body getting used to it. plus i dnt know wut to smell for or here? i know this sounds stupid but i dont want to do damage. replys would be greatly appreaciated!!If you want to see if there blown push in on the cone and if it makes a scratchy sound or any sound than its blown the other thing you probably smell would be the voice coils if they got hot but the subs should not have got quieter they should be getting louder as they get broken in. And did you check the amps make sure they didnt get turned down or a see if a wire came lose.

they are 5 gallon buckets. about 10.5 inches in dia. and 14.5 deepwhats that put you at for hz? and did you just cut the bottoms out and leave them straight back or did you have to turn them?

Actually they are i know its not the normal port but it was the right size and depth and saved me quite a bit of money. I fought with myself about using them or not but i couldn't come up with a logical reason not to use them....I did have to do some work to them, like make them a bit stronger and other things but all and all they work perfect.what size buckets are those how deep and big?

i was wondering if a sub calls for a 120 sq in port and you have 3 of them do u multiply it by 3 or what?

im trying to find good mids and highs for my truck my buddy just bought oxygen audio 6 1/2 and there loud as hell but they were $100 a piece and they dont come in pairs. Anyone know of good mids and highs that come in pairs and are not super expensive.

well the only reason i have to do 2 ports is because i dont have enough room for 1 big port but i can put 2 because my box will be bigger at the top then on the bottom because my wheel wells

You guys can hate on kicker all you want my buddy was doing 152dbs on music with 4 L7 10s with a kicker 2500. @ ricksi30 ill findout today and let you know thanks.
