  1. I HAD A POST UP TO RUN 4 FI 18" BTL'S FULLY LOADED. WITH A LOT OF DISCUSSION AND DEBATE I MOVED DOWN TO THE BL SERIES. I HAVE ONE COMING ON THURSDAY AND I WANT TO KNOW HOW MANY BATTERIES DO I NEED. HOW MUCH POWER. WHAT KIND(S) OF ALTERNATOR(S) DO I NEED. WHERE DO I FIND A DIGITAL VOLT METER THAT IS IN THE SHAPE OF A SQUARE THAT HAS BLUE NUMBERS? WHERE SHOULD I PUT THE PORT IN THE BOX FOR ALL 4 SUBS. SHOULD I HAVE ONE OR MORE PORTS. STRAPPED AMPS OR NOT? EPICENTER OR NOT? EQ OR NOT? HOW MANY 6X9'S SHOULD I GET. HOW MUCH DYNOMAT, DAMPLIFIER, OR SOUND DEADENER. I STILL HAVE THE 1994 CHEVY SUBURBAN 4WD.WHAT KIND OF AMP SHOULD I PUT MY 6X9'S TO. AND I WANT THAT BUTTON THAT MEADE HAS. NOT JOCKIN HIM BUT THAT IS COOL. AND ANYTHING THAT I SHOULD KNOW AND UNDERSTAND.

    Fi Bl's D1 Fully Loaded

Hey whats going on SSA. I have made a couple of posts and I have learned a great deal of things on here. I have a long way to go and I know someone can help me get there. I am looking for 3 18" Fi Bl's to buy or trade for some things. I am just curious of what will pop up. I do not want the D2's or Stock Bl's. This is not an official posting just to see if something happens. I have one and it is the 09 series with a yellow dustcap. I need 3 more to scratch the subs off of my list. Please no BS or Post Dumping.

    Fi Bl's D1 Fully Loaded

That makes a lot of sense and thanks for the advice I will look out for that. I am just being optimistic. Some call it naive, but if you live in America and see the rising gas costs, and taxes that is a good reason for someone to sell Bl's. That was a general thought the advice was very informative. Thanks but hopefully someone will step up to the plate. Hey by the way I have a couple questions about some terms used on ssa and that is the words "teh" and "bump." I looked for meanings but didn't find any definitions. I am not stupid just wanting more information boldly. But you are right let me clarify. I am only interested in the 09 models 18" Fi BL Fully Loaded subs. No recones, motors, broken subs period. D1 only.

    UPDATE!!!!! NOW 4 18" FI BL'S RESPONDS N

shizzzon I understand what you were saying and all but I have a 4WD suburban I won't need air bag suspension to carry those subs. As a matter of fact I have seen and had way more lbs in my 2wd suburban and had no trouble nor witness and lowering in the suspension. Now when you broke it down it made way more sense in the price range. I see that you are a money spender also you go for all high end items. I can get my box made with everything for about $350 or 400. I have an autopage car alarm with remote start installed for about 600 and it is off the chain if a truck rides by the alarm sets off. I am not saying that you dont know what you are talking about. I am saying that you spend more money than I have to to get basically the same result. I have a boss indash dvd player installed for 420 with the detatch. I respect your advice, but what I meant by advice is breaking things down to where I know the whens and the whys. I also meant more than one opinion. The guy above you said that a good set up may cost about 6,000 dollars seeing as how I already have one BL, amps, sec system, headunit, and some wires. no offense to you man I am not like that. Thanks for the advice. And there is always someone calling names "Nuthugger" people cant think highly of a setup without being a "Nuthugger"

    UPDATE!!!!! NOW 4 18" FI BL'S RESPONDS N

not saying that i am going to spend 40 00 but i am going 4 18 bl's fully loaded for $414.00 ea. so $414.00x4=1656 roughly so $1656.00+roughly $250.00(4) each for batteries+roughly $300.00 roughly for an alternator+about $300.00 for 6x9's+sound deadner roughly $300.00+installs roughly $500-1000 these are rough estimates and I have 2 amps they are Kole 5500's and I am running it and if I need to change up I will. I saw these things in action and they go pretty hard. This estimate is more around $4600.00 and I will throw in $1000.00 just to add more items and tax. so $5600.00 way less than $15,000-$25,000

    UPDATE!!!!! NOW 4 18" FI BL'S RESPONDS N

Dude I know that it costs money but even the big timers in the sub game started out small. Why does everyone always start out their advice with $15,000-$25,000. I know that it costs money but let me start over and say everything that I said before and add I KNOW THAT IT COSTS MONEY TO GET WHAT I WANT SO I DON'T NEED THAT KIND OF ADVICE. No offense but that's like telling someone that they need air to breathe. I don't look to go from crawling to running so I look to spend well under those price ranges.

4 Fi 18" Btl Fully Loaded

What up SSA I want to first say that IF ANYONE HAS THE NEW FULLY LOADED 18" FI BTL'S I AM LOOKING TO BUY. I WILL VERIFY WEATHER THEY ARE FULLY LOADED I HAVE MY SOURCES TRUST ME. I have a couple of questions for the crowd and if you don't like this question or heard it before simply don't bother being a prick about it I simply want to gain some knowledge we all have to sometime. Anyway I currently own a 1994 chevy suburban and I want to take only the third seat out to make room for 4 18" Fi Btl's. I have 2 Kole audio 5500 amplifiers and they are ran by the kicker 1/0 gauge amp kit. I want to know what I have to do to really get my future subs to bang like the beasts they are without blowing them. How many batteries do I need? How many alternators do I need? Do I need a capacitor? How much Dynomat? Epicenter or no? What type of box? etc. Oh yeah and I want them at 1 ohm. Lastly what is the universal option? And yes I do want to keep my a/c and heat, someone told me I would have to give up heating and air to bump like I want to but I just don't believe that. Should I strap my amps or not? Ok really this is the last question. What button does steve meade have thats cool? I am not stupid I'm just in the learning process. OH YEAH FOR A BRAND NEW FI 18" ON FICARAUDIO.COM FULLY LOADED WITH SHIPPING COSTS 509.00 OR SOMEWHERE AROUND THAT. IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO SELL IT USED PLEASE KNOW THAT I AM NOT PAYING THE SAME PRICE THAT I COULD FOR ONE BRAND NEW. BE REASONABLE AND NO DEFECTS WHAT SO EVER PLEASE.

4 Fi 18" Btl Fully Loaded

4 ma audio sx with a 3000d boss amp hit pretty good but was junk. 2 kicker comps with a 1500 watt amp don't remember which one. 2 sony xplod 15" subs forgot the amp. nothing special but works in progress. Had some 12's and 10's don't remember which ones though so long ago.

4 Fi 18" Btl Fully Loaded

Hey but on the bright side if I don't like it it is only one so I will move on as opposed to buying the btl and spending money like crazy. Good looking out if I don't like it I will move up to the BL series and upgrade later if I am still not satisfied.

4 Fi 18" Btl Fully Loaded

again I didn't just rush into it. You guys help me save money and think clearer. I chose the Q because I wanted !8" subwoofers and they were not as expensive and allows me to do some experiencing without going crazy. I did a lot of research and decided to go with the Q's this is my starting ground thanks guys. I dont want my 18" to be mid bass but I want it to hit every note with QUALITY.

4 Fi 18" Btl Fully Loaded

I had to take all of what you guys told me and I thought about what I could afford and I thought about the Q. I saw a guy on youtube that has a Q looking like it can hit. I do look to upgrade later but I am simply following advice. If I do not like the Q I will not get another one. I am also trying to at least crawl before I walk. Besides in the fall I have a pretty big refund check coming from school. I wish you all had videos of your setups. I am opening up but to do it again I will start off saying that I look to shake windows and not my own, shake the ground around me, set off alams, win competitions, taking peoples breath away, doing hair tricks, being heard from blocks away, giving my truck a massage, and making myself proud. I really appreciate the advice from all of the people who replied. I will be looking for a sundown amp or more at 3500 watts or more in the fall maybe more if I decide to move up to BL's or BTL's because I would have already made changes to my electrical system without breaking the bank. Also watch out I am liking this idea of the 22" subwoofer, but honestly I have my doubts about a 22" subwoofer hitting the midbass notes. Something to know about me is I like to do it BIG.

4 Fi 18" Btl Fully Loaded

I plan on using these subs and amps for music and a little competition. I do not plan on running with Kole or Charcoal Audio for that long and I look to work my way up from there but I am hearing good things about the Q series. Besides I already ordered it.

4 Fi 18" Btl Fully Loaded

Thanks for the advice guys. I think I will go with 4 18" Fi Q's instead of the BTL's. I will save money and I do need to start some where. I like 18" subwoofers because I have personally owned subwoofers ranging from 12" to 18" and I love deep bass not just loud bass and I just want 18" subs. oh yeah and I can use the amps I got and upgrade later when I get more experienced. I am starting with one 18" Q I just ordered it. With the yellow dustcap and the BP option.
