    1995 Cadillac Eldorado Build

How do you get it in the trunk? I have a box that is 14.5x16x30 that I managed to get in the trunk once I removed the spare tire. Which is why I went 14.5x19x38 on this one. Because I think I can get it in the trunk by just removing the spare.

Where are you going to order the Deka from? darrenfrancis@dbeezcaraudio.com he sells deka 9a31 blemish batteries. So they have some cosmetic defect but are funtionally fine. He's the cheapest I've found. Under $200 shipped.

    SA-10 show off thread

I got my SA-10's last week. And probably won't have them installed for another month. So if you've got your SA-10's up and running. Let's see some pics and or vids of your setup. I'll be running 2 SA-10's in 2.5 cu ft@32hz wired to 1 ohm off my SAZ-1500d.

    Comp box for 2 15" type r's

1.5cf PER 15 ? That is TINY...IMHO go for double that. Efficiency is your friend. Do you need to worry about efficiency when your giving subs 4x rated power? I don't think so.

    4 fi q 12s ported or 6 sealed

I see m5 hasn't been here yet. So I'll say it for him. 4-12's on 6k isn't SQ. If you really want SQ focus on your front stage. But if you want loud and clean I'd go with the 4 ported over the 6 sealed.

Hey alex01 how did you get the box in the trunk? I have a 95 eldo and I'm wondering if there are any tricks to getting a big box in the trunk.

    1995 Cadillac Eldorado Build

Damn alternator went out yesterday. And I'm still waiting on parts. Hopefully I'll get my parts Tuesday and then fix the ac, rebuild the alternator to 240 amp, and do the big three. Good news is I found a local box builder with good prices. I'm going to meet him today to plan out the box. And hopefully have the box next week. And my sa-10s are supposed to be here on the 2nd.

    SA Series Woofer Family Photos

i just wish the sa-10 had the 12 spoke basket. Of course then I'd have to mount mine inverted, so I could look at them all the time.

Well it says car quest on the battery, so I'd assume its a rebadged deka. Like the Oreilly's rebadged deka. I definitely wasn't expecting to see the same kind of car I drive, when I opened the window. Nice, Now I'm wondering if I still want to face my subs and port back with my 2 sa-10 build.

    4-SA8D2's in 5cu=140.5db

Nice install, and a great looking box. Well here's a general guideline from jacob on the 8's. 1.25 cubic feet = 300 watts 1.00 cubic feet = 400 watts 0.80 cubic feet = ~450-500 watts 0.60 cubic feet = ~500-600 watts So 8-8's in 6.5 cu ft on 2 1500d's would be a great match. And maybe still fit under your window line.

    1995 Cadillac Eldorado Build

well I'll definitely post up a review when it's all installed. I'm excited. It's been 2 months since I had a system. I'm using the stock tape deck with an adapter to my iPod for now. My friend had two type r 10's in a ported box in his car running off 900 watts. It was pretty loud, so I'm looking forward to blowing him away with my two sa10's on 1600 watts. Not to mention he had infinity reference coaxials in the doors for mids.

Mb Quart DSC4125. It's 4x125@4 ohm, so I'm thinking I'll have about 4x65@8. Which with the higher sensitivity of the 8 ohm drivers should be fine. And if not, then I'll have to buy another one and bridge them. Talk about headroom. I ordered an a/c compressor kit and new condensor today. Hopefully all my a/c parts and my high output alternator rebuild kit will get here this weekend and I can finally have A/C. Good thing it hasn't gotten hot yet here in Oregon.

I took some pics of what i have so far for equipment. My mids, tweets, and rca's showed up today, and my tweets weigh as much as my old mids. Here you go.

    1995 Cadillac Eldorado Build

I ordered a 240 amp alternator rebuild and smaller pulley from springhill today. I think I'll be waiting on the Deka battery for a while. I have an hc800 I'll use as a temp. Now it's time to fix the ac. My compressor is toast, so time to order one of those as well. I figure I'll do the ac compressor and alternator at the same time.

    Digital Media Recievers

My friend has the ixa-w404 in his civic and loves it. I have an ixa-w407 i'm waiting to install. My last deck was a cda-9886 and i never used the cd player. Also if your worried about preout voltage. Get the pxa-h100 and use it with any of the high end alpine media decks. It gives you 4v preouts and the ability to run active, and autotune using imprint if you want.

I'm gonna be running two of these in 2.5 cu ft ported, tuned to 30hz. How much port area should I run with these? The box I have modeled now has 31 sq in, or 12.5 per cu ft. I'll be running these at 1 ohm off my SAZ-1500D.

Nice build. I'm just wondering how your gonna hear your mids with them firing at the side of your seat?

Sub/Port firing option? which would be louder?

You should check sq_mgb's build log. He also has a regular cab truck with a console box. Here's the link. SQ_MGB's 2002 Chevy Reg cab build - SSA Car Audio Forum
