  1. I'll post a negative. The paint isn't 100%. I wish I would have used body filler over the entire surface and sanded to get the best possible surface for painting. I would hace also gone with a bedliner time spray on but this is fine if you don't go right up to it under the light.

I also need to put in a port brace since I can almost feel the ouside wall flexing.

Soundstream Amp is nice. I also have the matching C-1 pre-amp and T-1 tuner. The amp is just starting to clip at the maximum I would want to push these. The amp does get real hot when pounding away.

I've been delaying speaker porn and the output mesurements. SOON...

  2. Taking the subwoofer out from my receiver to a low pass crossover and then to the Soundstream C-1 preamp and onto the Soundstream DA-1 dual monoblock amplifier.

  3. Just to set this straight, I am all for oyu and Zed Audio. I just kept reading these horrible threads that were just bashing on you and the minilith and wanted to hear the real story or get an actual copy of the letter you sent out.

People made it sound like there were a bunch of miniliths which had trouble with 1ohm loads, now you say there were 2 cases well now that makes a bit more sence. This thread is old....all I wanted, like others, was an explanation from you.

When you say there were 2 cases and not a hand full then I beleive the story of DCR resistance being too long on certain subwoofers. So I apologize if I seemed hasty with some comments.

  4. 6.0 Mbps download and 800 Kbps upload is $50 including modem rental.

We are VIP members so we get liek 15% and something off. So really we pay like $39-40 for a 3Mbps. I perosnaly prefer Bell Sympatico and they cost same but isn't available in my area. But 1km it is. It's weird. We have TV cable, digital cable, internet cable and mobile phones with Cable so it's worth staying with them.

  5. I don't buy this voicecoil crap unless you have a defect and the subs read like 0.5ohms instead of 1 ohm. But even then, a 1ohm stable amp should do fine with a 0.7-1.0ohm rating on music.

Stephen, please clear this up. I am only hearing from people that don't know anything about the situation. If it's a production hickup, then state it as that....better then having all this chit go around on the net.

  6. DCR means squat. There is one hell of a thread brewing about this over on Soundillusions.net

I would also like to hear the real story.

They are saying, why the hell is the amp rated for 1 ohm is it isn't stable. No one posted the letter you sent out so I didn't want to get involved. But I would surely like to get the truth behind this story and set it straight over there.

  7. Hey, sorry I didn't respond any quicker. I've been out of town for a week.

Yes it's dB. I guess I typed it wrong or I just don't care! :P

I don't even have time for another forum so I don't know how I am going to manage this one.

Just a little info. I'm from Ottawa Canada. I haven't had a car setup in like 2 years. I guess I just lost interest or money. But I've got this HT subwoofer project in progress with 2 ED 12kx.22 and a 6cube box tuned to like 21Hz. Almost done the construction part. I've had these subs since Jan 2004.

I am an amplifier internals freak. I am a graduated Electronic Technician.
