If your dropping that low on just that 1700watt amp then I think it would be an issue with the electrical. that or excessive clipping would drop the voltage also. Is it quality 1/0 wire? Do you have a clamp meter to see if your alt is putting out anything close to 340amps?

birch weighs less and is more dense than MDF. meaning it would be stronger build a box out off than MDF.

I can't fit any more buttons or knobs on the 100.4 so it's good for a while feature-wise.
You could always give it
Haha yea. MORE POWER

Like Duran said I would go with another alternator and a couple more batteries in the back. You have a GM, there are brackets you can order from mechman or dc power so you can add another alt to your caddy

I would LOVE to own the Leviathan, INFACT I have been seasoning the wife so she won't be so shocked when I buy it.LOL.
I think you will be ALOT HAPPIER when you do get done by taking your time and just mocking up different things to see how they work in real time. NOTHING EVER works how I have it envisioned in my head, BUT desire is the driving force, SO keep up the gOOd work.
HAHA. seasoning. I'm gonna have to use that term one day. Funny

yea. alot of amp have turn on/off delays to eliminate the pop. especially from cutting the RCA signal from the headunit when the units turns off
My system doesn't do it often. but every so often when i change tracks it will make a small pop. because of the sudden halt/cease and reconnection of the RCA signal to the amp

voice coil may be going out.

well of course you said it best Jay-cee, "you need power to make power" so yea more batteries would be better.
but i'm talking about just blasting the system for an extended period of time like when demoing at a competition or something like that.

The HC2400 has more Ah than the XS does. not by much though. so in my opinion I would go with the hc2400 and a hc1400 up front or bigger if you can fit it.
Haven't heard about the charging issue with the kinetiks. have to look into that.
When it comes to car audio AH doenst mean anything when comparing batteries, give this a read:
XS Power Batteries for my application - SSA Car Audio Forum

It makes sense, but if you have 3 batteries, 100Ah each, making the total Ah 300. pushing a system that is pulling around 300 amps. wouldn't that be better as far as playing longevity goes than some batteries equaling 200ah.

i'm a Kinetik dealer. hit me up for pricing and availability on the different models

Looks ok on paper, but really no one can say it is for a fact. You will have some drop, zero drop is asking as bit much.
You will just have to try it and keep an eye on the voltage.
I will be running XS for my next batteries.
right. sounds good from the description. but the only way to see if it works for you is to try it yourself.

the 1ohm rating on the D-tower 3400 is 2200 watts. If the sub is wired to 1.4ohm then the amp would probably give out around 1800-2000 watts of power at 13.8 volts MAYBE. If the VC of the sub are dual 1.4. wire it down to .7ohm and get most of the power out of the amp

If you have an ear for sound then have some confidence to set it by ear. I would prefer to have them set by an O-scope so you can see when they clip and at what level.
