  1. Winamp FTW! :fing34:

Winamp FTL actually...try searching for a track when you are going 60 and NOT on a highway...

Dammed, get Centrafuse and a touchscreen.

After working on somebody's car-puter setup, I feel that the only reliable solution is a touchscreen + a computer instead of a laptop. Otherwise it could get frustrating to control the whole thing.

I just use Winamp on the computer at home, thats why I said it, lol I probably wouldnt use it in car...

  2. 18 cubes with 220sq of port area tuned to 34hz...its being built inside the truck! Stetsom 5k2d at 2 ohms pushing around 6800rms! with a d3400 under the hood and 2 d3100 in the back. Its going to be SEX! I took out all panels and SHIZZZON designed the box for me so its going to be NASTY!!!!!!!!

Holy. Im guessing this a 4dr too? or a 2 door? Make sure theres lots of deadener! I need to buy some, and get my roof supports strengthened because they rattle the piss out of them. Ill do that when I get my door pods installed, and finish deadening all the doors (I only got the front 2 done.)

Congrats very nice setup hope to see moar vids. :fing34:

Thanks! Yes more videos will be coming :)

  3. :peepwall: I see that $HIT! Im doing my REBUILD here soon! im straight gutting the JIMMY again and adding the second 18 ZCON in that boy. I want to see numbers of this setup! Sexy build log my man! LOVE THE WOOD!

Good! You gotta build the box to perfection though, otherwise it wont work haha :) So far the box fits perfect like a glove.

    nice!!!

now it is time to give that blazer a bath lol!

Yes, I knowwww :( but I have to wait for all the snow to melt like its doing now (45 degrees today WOO!), and 55 tomorrow!.. I havent washed it since about November so I think it is due, before the salt eats my car away. :S

  4. What do you want to achieve? If output is your goal, get the SSD's, if you want some of the best sound quality woofers ever designed, get the W6's.

What actually makes the w6 sound better than the SSD? Is it the motor structure and how its designed? Ive always wondered, no mean to thread jack.

  5. It can power them. Plastic pieces make it seem flimsy but internals usually look good.

Yes the plastic peices are very flimsy, both ends of mine broke off so I had no way of mounting it, so i just super glued them back on. Haha

  6. Nice. I just love BIG bass in a small space. I bet that thing pounds!

    Nice box build btw.

I havent turned it up too much.. waiting for my DSO Nano oscilloscope to come in so I can set the gains, and REALLY wang em. But so far, even with them barely moving, they sound wonderful!

  7. lol looks like a small animal could live in there! how much port area?

I could live in there :) haha but its 150 sq inches, I wish I could have gone more but that would sacrifice some cu ft. of the total volume, and with Blazers you got to find all the room you can which is what I did :suicide-santa:

  8. Let me just say, it is my best sounding and loudest box I have ever had... I havent really set the gain just yet, I ordered an oscilloscope a few weeks ago (from China) which was 70 bucks, so Im waiting to get that in, set the gains, and REALLY wang it.

DSO Nano is the oscilloscope if you want to check it out! Pretty neat and extremely cheap device!

  9. Havent updated in a while, but finally got my amp in and box painted. Below zero temperatures, snow, me being busy, and no garage = nothing getting done :suicide-santa:

But here we go for the updates...

Got the box spray painted right now ( I know, dont hate me haha) the port is textured spray so it looks really good!

  10. why not subs up/port back? not enough room for port release?

It would seem a shame to hide such nice looking wood under bed liner. what color is your interior? any wood grain already in the car? A nice stain or whatever could look really nice.

My first box I had was subs up and port back, and it just rattled the piss out of my back hatch (with lots of deadener even).. so I just wanted to hear how this design sounded. :)

But yes it would be a shame to hide it, but I almost think it would look dumb with a blah interior graphite color (dark grey) with no other woodgrain. If it was in a Rolls Royce I would definitely stain it ;)
