    15" FI Q WATTAGE

I need to know what wattage i can run a 15" fi q safely at without much worry of blowing it. I know that the reccomended RMS is 1000 but i've seen videos of them running at 1500; is that safe for the sub?
  7. lol i've decided against it now...i'm gonna save my money and get a blazer first lol that will eliminate this issue completely...i'll stick with the tens until i'm capable of doing it to where i wont get out of my truck with equilibrium problems because i'm nearly deaf in my right ear and my left is fine haha
  8. i'm gonna have to secure it in my front seat... because i'm not looking to make durastic changes...and i have eclipse components..btw i have a bench seat...i haven't got 1/0 gauge wire yet but plan to...i

    15" FI Q WATTAGE

lol it's really ghetto but i don't have much of an option short of puting bucket seats in my truck and puting a box between them...and my fiance would murder me for that
  10. your probably right considering all i have is a regular cab GMC lol...quite a bit of bass for that small of and area... its 1995 GMC Sierra C1500 Stepside with a 4.3 liter v6...thanks for the input and if you could tell me anything else it would be appreciated

    ground location

try grounding it to different places and see if the amp works when grounded and if so find the most efficient place with a good ground...i'm no expert but i think this method should work...make sure where you ground it to is clean and has no paint or anything bc then it will get a better ground

    NEW

Hey i'm new to the whole car audio forum thing but i don't get in the way too much so yea don't expect me to be ruining peoples days by acting like i know everything about it bc i don't lol

    15" FI Q WATTAGE

yea you guys are probably right bc just bc it can take more don't mean i should put that much...it would probably get distorted with higher wattage with small spl differences....guess that was a stupid question to begin with and i could have solved that in my mind without posting but thanks anyway...I love car audio but i'm nowhere near close to being an expert but I have to say I love the bass and i know what i'm doing enough to run the system and gets some half-way decent spl = ]....i been just having two 10's bc i have a single cab truck but i'm going to add a 15" to my front seat just for the fun of it

    BL and Q

What RMS can the Q be ran at safely. I know the reccomended rms is 1000 but can it handle more?
