    Welcome to the IHoP

the basic process is strip the old clear coat (i wouldn't be surprised if the corrosion you're seeing is the old clear coat, it can get pretty awful. steps #2-30 - sand. Start with the roughest grit necessary and step up to smoother and smoother until you achieve the finish you want. I wouldn't recommend anything but your hand for sanding, but once you get up to about 1000 grit or higher you can start polishing. You'll need an abrasive compound (there's tons) turtle wax rubbing compound will usually suffice if you've done a good enough job sanding. this is not going to be a quick and easy job, as Ryan said, it's probably going to inspire you to fork over the cash to get someone else to do it. it will be easier if the wheels are mostly flat. Also some wheels use rather porous aluminum (dodge daytona '90) and you soon realize that you're unable to get a nice finish because of the pits and it's better to leave them hazy and dull.

It was amusing while I did some paperwork. The jokes were pretty tough though. The Ryan Dunn joke was too soon. Actually it would never be time for that joke. It's a roast, there is no line.

What kind and what finish? Most oem wheels have a clear coat that is 90% of the problem. The next question is what do you desire as an end result? Most wheels have nice enough aluminum to be polished to a near chrome finish if you want to invest the time.

it would be a stretch but a warm start-up may be worse on the starter(solenoid), because of the ambient heat. That's one of those things that can sound good on paper and never work in real-life though. Definitely wouldn't cause me to not shut my car off for 5min.

awesome, thanks for the run down. The salad, it was shit, i only had a few bites. No mayo or lemon but may have had a bit of soy. There was something vegetable based that had been ground up fresh in it but no real flavor, and definitely sesame.

Thank you, that made my morning. Descriptions were funny. If you want it clarified I'd be glad to help. <--happens to love most Japanese salad dressings, that being said there are some seriously crappy restaurants out there. yes please, especially identifying the fish if possible.

that would never work, after a few I'd forget to take the beer out of the platter before taking a drink.

    Welcome to the IHoP

So I've been craving sushi thanks to Ryan. I had it in the keys and only got cooked shrimp. I've never been able to taste a difference in the fish, I can tell major differences in texture but that's all. I did notice that the place I had it in the Keys had fantastic ginger, better than what I'm used to. Tonight got a sampler from Laishley Crab House, reviews online say it's so-so at best. The wasabi is way more potent than most, about 10x stronger actually. Anyway, I got the sampler with the intention of trying the different fish and once again, I could tell no difference. I am not sure which fish is which, aside from tuna. The run down. First I try the cooked nigiri. No idea what kind of meat it was, thought it was eel possibly from the looks of it but the texture wasn't anything like the eel i've had in the past. The meat was possibly smoked, flavor was fantastic on this but I can't really describe it with any detail. I can say I really enjoyed it. Next, the shrimp, which was highly dissapointing, I think it was overcooked because it was quite tough, much tougher than anything else in the platter actually. Moving on, the orange striped Nigiri, which had some of the best texture but I honestly could still tell no difference in taste between this and the other raw fish. Next was the tuna which was almost too loose. No idea how else to describe it but when I would chew it it reminded me of something that had been stretched and pulled apart (think tenderized meat but this hadn't been beaten). The pure white nigiri on the left had fantastic texture as well, right up there with the orange striped and probably better if I could have gotten past the look of it. For some reason the pure white kind of turned me off. The pink to white nigiri was ok but nothing to report really. The upper right nigiri was the last one I tried and probably the least favorite but I think that's because I had already killed my apetite at that point. (i ate the maki rolls almost immediately, still my favorite form of sushi, and that tuna was much more firm than the nigiri piece). and now for a couple pics... btw the "salad" you can see was fucking nasty, the lettuce was wilted and it reminded me of bad kimchi. I've never had it before so I didn't know what to expect but the flavor was very "korean" don't know how else to describe it.

I would love to see a large grow op while still running, I've never had the pleasure. The ones that I saw in the film were very inefficient which shows they weren't very experienced. The 20 buried traincars was a fantastic idea but they royally fucked it up. Basically, these operations need to hire me as a consultant.

Eh the union got boring, you can only make the same statement so many times. I had heard most of their facts before but I think their numbers are way off.

I really don't like the front of the XF, too much like an Aston Martin but not as good. I love the rear though, there's one in the lot downstairs actually and I get to stare at it every day.

jesus christ, on ghost hunters, two guys are recording questions and then replaying them through speakers because ghosts can hear it when it's played "you know through frequencies, instead of through vocal chords" Maybe ghosts are just audiophiles?

You should definitely wait, with the way the car market is going i'm sure vehicles like that will only decrease in value and increase in condition. Interesting. I sort of figure the day I see a well kept <30k mile car with the right upgrades and such for under $35k I am fucked. Don't know how you could say no. I was being highly sarcastic.
