  1. I installed my kenwood kdc x794 in my 05 yukon with factory bose system so I had to use the metra gmos 04 adapter to keep chimes and factory amp untill I get money go upgrade all components, also I installed the metra aswc and now when the radio is on but turned all the way down I get some alternator whine out of only one speaker and I never had the whine before the gmos04.... I've took it apart twice and re wired and still can't get rid of it.......help please

  2. Just make this simple lol

    do this

    Sub Amp

    (+)-----------------------(+)

    (+)-----------------------(+)

    (-)------------------------(-)

    (-)------------------------(-)

Lol thas what I was thinking you meant... how do hu recommend, drill holes through box for each wire or use bolts

  3. http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer_configurations.asp~Q~1~I~22

So this is wha you're saying?.... why not do four individual wires, what's the difference ...just curious

yep exactly, the thing is i dont understand why they only connect one of the positve on the sub and two negitive..

    this will explain it better

Okay I've got that part...but from my amp to my sub id have to combine my two+ and two- ?... like I said my amp is+ + - -

  4. Just had a topic like this a few days ago........

Run each wire from amp to woofer, so you should have 4 wires coming off woofers and 4 wires into the amp.

So there'd be 4 seperate wires from sub to amp?.... and what about getting the 8ga in my terminals

  6. So is there any way for me to be able to get my 8ga speaker wire once doubled to fit in my btl terminals? I can't seem to get it to fit in amp or sub terminals, also I have an Audioque 2200d powering my btl which has four wire ports can I combine the two+ and the two- into the+ and- on box or what would be my best bet?...thanks

  7. So I just bought a 05 yukon with factory head unit and bose system and I ordered a kenwood kdc-x794 to replace headunit then pulled out old h/u and its got a couple plug ins for wire harness so I googled it and found out I needed the "gmos-04" adapter that cost around 100 bucks that is supposed to keep onstar ability and factory chimes, is there anyway I can bypass the gmos adapter to install the new h/u?

  8. how do u download those just got my ps3?...looks great btw a friend of mine has the same tv and its absolutely inedible!

  9. SUV's and hatchbacks have a LOT of cabin gain and that'll add to SQ.

Did you meant to say SPL?

so as far as the ranger how will it be loudest windows up, down doors open, closed? im getting ready to build a bigger box that would help alot its gonna be around 2.82 cu ft. so should be nice

  10. right now i have a 12" btl powered by audioque 2200d in a ext cab ranger but im looking to get a new vehicle ( murano probably) how will it sound, i know it will depend on box size and all but as far as vehicle specific what will be the ups or downs to the suv, ive never had a system in a suv so im just looking for some input. Thanks
