This is a very fun little build for one of the guys who was there at the very start of SSA. Back in 2001 Travis was my roommate, and helped me build lots and lots of customer rides. In 2007 he bought 4 of our very first ICONs, they've sat ever since he bought them in the sealed boxes. We the other day we cracked a few of them open, and decided to put them in his 2002 Ford F150. We fired it up today for the first time, and below is the results on just 1500wRMS.

Why so many mids and tweets? Are you installing a system in a party bus?

If you are using the H701 you can just set the xover on the Kronos to flat and use the crossover in the H701.

Travis did just about all of this himself. I helped with some wiring and misc. stuff. You know theres a video also going to take a few to edit it and put it together, so stay tuned.

Im not trying to ruin a companies rep if you read my above post you will see that i said nothing negative about troy and said i would use him agian. i waited 8 months becouse i wanted troys bracket its well made and even his shitty proto type will probaly look better then the one i will cut. as long as someone has my money after there has been reasonable time and i have no product i have the right to post 200 times a day untill it is resolved. If there is a problem with a company, people should know what's going on. It's not good for this company , but it's the truth guys. If this guy is your friend, tell him to do something. Ok as I waited the longest i will speak on this first off I was issued my refund almost instantly when I asked for it. Troy has maintained excellent communication and offered me a refund sevral times thru out the 7-8 months that he had my money and I waited. The issue was I was continually told 2 week 2 more weeks 2 more weeks after this became the standard answer that you received you begin to lose faith and trust. I told Troy I would still do business with him in the future but he will have to show me a product before I will send him money it's not a personal issue. TeamRamRod I'm not sure why you feel you need to speak on a issue that you know nothing about. How about you buy something from me that only I sell and I tell you I will have it at your door in two weeks then 7-8 months later I still tell you it will be 2 more weeks I hope you can comprehend that let down. Please go post in another thread and stay out of this one. As far as building my own bracket I did 4 hours later I had the plans and on my next day off I will cut the bracket I just wanted Troy's bracket because it is a nice looking well built bracket .

If it's so easy, then why don't you go ahead and do it. he doesn't have the templete? take an exact template and go find a machine shop to make it. i'm sure i could find 20 of them that would do it in the amount of time these poor guys have been waiting. i'm sorry but this is outrageous how long these guys have been waiting. hell mine was supposed to be done but i wasn't near as faithful to prepay and it looks like that was the right choice unfortunately. Bitching like infants isn't going to make anything happen faster. Ask for a refund or wait.. You guys think what?.. That he'll only update this thread when he is asked too? No. When Troy has an update he'll update the thread, that simple. your right, this is the way a vendor on a forum should run his business. my bad. i looked passed that

I rather let two guys with well over 10 years of designing and building speakers/subs, than a company who release info every week about updating their design but doesn't actually touch the sub. SSA's buildhouse can actually design a speaKer, go out to the machine shop and build a prototype. Then can test it fairly quickly and see what needs to be changed. With other companies, they design the speaker on a computer, then has to wait a few months to receive a proto. So they end up talking instead of testing. Your arguments are pointless, and your just trying to find any reason to talk shit.

eDUB, why not be a bit more positive with your posts? no matter the opinion, you can post them in a more intelligent manor that is less offensive....calling somebody a fanboy is a joke at best, you're over on the sundown forum praising them, cause what? u got to see some t/s specs....wow...jacob runs his company a bit differently, thats all. i like both....ill run whatever my ears enjoy...i plan on owning a sundown sub someday to compare with the xcon 18 ill be installing here shortly. but this crap is pointless and should stop, i dont enjoy calling anyone out but come on man. either be more polite about stuff or just stay out of it.

SSA FTW! I have NEVER dealt with a better company as far as customer service goes. That in itself would make me consider paying a little extra. SSA's subwoofers fill the gap between high SPL woofers and SQ woofers. I think the numbers that any of their woofers put up are quite impressive for the way they sound. I realize that there are other subwoofers that sound good and get loud, but I think Mark and Aaron put a lot of time testing both SPL and SQ of each of their woofers to make sure that they pass their own standards. This says a lot to me about how they run their company and it makes me want to keep coming back. They are very involved with their products, even though they may not design them. I respect your opinion edub, but I can't seem to wrap my head around why you would come on to the company's forum and subsection just to bash a new woofer you have no experience with. I hope you find what you are looking for somewhere else. Looking forward to the release of the Zcon's, hope they don't suck me in lol.

You honestly believe every company designs their woofer? You'd be quite surprised... Fi oems a lot of other companies woofers too. Back on topic Can't wait to hear some details!
