  1. So... I want to do something for real this time and actually get a vehicle that can handle some weight and still drive around without issues. Concerns about driveability have really hampered my previous plans for something large. I really do NOT like driving huge vehicles either for the most part. I happened across a really interesting vehicle by chance on Craigslist last week and decided to pull the trigger ! 2006 Chevy Express 3500 w/ Duramax Diesel Engine! I test drove it and it was alot more comfortable for me to drive than most huge vehicles and has some real power behind it as well. I am looking at mostly music and mostly impressive demoing but would plan to compete in bass boxing and bass race with it. We are talking to Shok about wiring, planning Excessive Amperage for alternators, XS Power 16v batteries, and of course Sundown subs, amps, and mids. As of this moment I am thinking about 8x 18" woofers in a 4th order... initial box estimates put me at something like 100 cubes or so while leaving room for box thickness, amps, and batteries... so looking @ 3-4 cubes or so each sealed and 8-9 cubes or so each vented (so either 1:2 or 1:3). Other thoughts have crossed my mind like a bunch of SA woofers... but I know plenty of our Team members have done that already. I don't expect this to get done quickly by any means as we are looking into ways to beef up the doors, floor, and ceiling before we even touch the woofers... we'll also likely get the door panels made first as well (these doors look like they can hold a ton of mids easily). * 8 lugs are nice for this kind of weight ! Later on I'll put nice rims on it as well but these will do until the real work is done. * Dash isn't the best for SPL by the looks of it but that isn't the biggest concern for what I want. * Has a ding on this side... but overall a clean van.
  2. This is an enclosure for my ZCON 15" 5.0^3 ft net with 87^2 inches of port area tuned to 35 hz
  3. Sorry its taken a while but I finally found some time to get a pic up. Will get a few vids up soon.

Dcons really shine in a properly built ported enclosure.
  7. So I went through this thread and it was like sex.. 1st thought, 1st page- here we gooo.. ohhh yeah!! 2nd thought, 2nd page - nice back 3thought, 13th page - man this is alot of work!! 4thought , 20th page - nice.. here it comes. 5thought, 31st page - awee thought it was coming. 6thought, 33rd page - OMFG that was amazing. Good job dude.
  8. it means output is more even across a frequency range, as opposed to being "peaky". So yes, its more musical.
  9. Post count does not mean squat. Chill out guys, next time ask why ChiLL says 8 cubes is too big
  10. Welcome to SSA!!!! Learning and laughing all the time!!!
  11. Fi recommends 4.5-8 cubic feet, do you know more about Fi subwoofers than Fi does? Are they doing something wrong? Damn you need to be on the payroll.
  12. Not entire sure why there is so much hate on the product it's self. I honestly REALLY liked them especially in the sealed enclosure. The product is an entry level driver, nothing to really compare to a zcon lmao. Most of the hate comes from the shady acts of a certain man who tries to act as if he knows about the speakers and amps he sells when he obviously does not. My opinion stems solely from what i have read and seen on my own.
  13. Why not make amps the produce high watts at 4 and 8 ohm loads. Seems like a better aproach to amp desighn
  14. Ill say it again. Fuck DC Power.
  15. He's called and called. They are ignoring him now.
  16. Such nice words you have there.. Nobody's getting ignored, it's called we are two people down and only one person is on the phones. I'm glad people are so comfortable making such assumptions and spreading it as truth. If said person thinks they are being ignored, I apologize but it's just not the case. Seriously, at this point I am just going to have Kyle refund you because I am absolutely SICK of hearing about this. Find somebody else to build you an alternator.. I know this has taken way longer than ANYONE has wanted, but at this point, I would rather you just not have the alternator than to have to listen to this... I've been telling nothing but the truth since my friend had this samething happen to him with his alternator. MY FAVORITE example of your B/S business is when he called from his 225 area code, there was no answer, when we called from an out of state area code it got answered on first ring. When he said why he was calling, y'all hung up. Tell me that's a lie.....
  17. Nope, you said it so it must be true... Your not the one answering phones 8 hours a day, we are, we cant answer EVERY FREAKING CALL AS IT COMES IN! Either way, I don't know what all of this matters to you other than obviously you like to run your mouth?? It matters to me because I'm tired of seeing posts about how people wait months, on months, on months, that turns into years for something from y'all. Not my fault y'all take in stuff you clearly, cannot handle.
  18. Idk why he's getting so upset over just my comments. I'm only a child really. Its not his fault I don't like DC Power. Only reason he would refund your money is if they really haven't started on what you need. Because of they had, that would be just money thrown away. Make sense?
